I really wish that they would make the reversal timing shorter but judging by that video of ibuki vs makoto where ibuki gets like 3 reversals in 1 second, they havent -_-
Yeah, well, 10 frames, in general, is just ludicrous in my opinion. I mean, it doesn’t have to be some 1-frame nonsense like ST, but, lord, give us a little credit, Capcom! In a perfect Street Fighter IV, there would be no cheater-inputs and 5-frame reversals. That keeps things legit, and it still provides more than enough time to reversal IF you’re skilled. I think we’ve cut the scrubs enough damn slack, wouldn’t you all agree? There ya go: ya got your cheater mash-out reversals so you could learn the game. Woopty-doo… It’s been a year; can we finally get back to playing competitive Street Fighter sometime soon? PLEEEEEASE??? Those of us that got good at Street Fighter back when it was difficult, whether it was via ST or 3S, put a lot of work into getting to that level of competitiveness. I feel like it’s a big slap in the face when people can just hop on board and start mashing moves and reversals just because they didn’t wanna take the time to learn some simple inputs and timing?! Why even play the game then?? I dunno… I guess I’m just a little jaded. lol :bluu:

I feel you on this post yo, but think about how 3S was ONLY for SF heads. It was so hard for someone who didn’t know how to play SF to get into it. Even Ono said this before SF4 was released in a interview. He wanted everyone to play the game, and they are. The top players are still on top:Daigo,Justin, etc. So I really don’t see the point in saying you are not playing competitive SF. You still beat me (even though the score is closer) and you have a good understanding of the game. You will still beat any buster who claims to be good, so allow SSF4 to be an easier SF to play to gain more players. You told me you wanting to keep this shit rolling, right? And now it is. It got me into wating to play nothing but SF, an d my game has gotten 10x better. Like you said at the last gamenight that there is a SF for everyone: Now there really is a SF for everyone.

Off that note ready to bang on gamenite on SF4 and on 3S. Looking to pull off some more wins in Sf4 w/ Sak-baby and staying as far away from Sean as possible in 3S.
Very happy to see that the 3S characters are getting so love now that they are in SF4. Looking forward to learning Makoto, as my 2nd or maybe even my main. Battles are going to be so sick in that game.

SF4s problem really isnt its reversal window IMO. To me it is the hitstun on block vs on hit. The difference is too big making pretty much any pressure string unsafe vs a lot of the good characters with FADC dps.
The DP shortcut, df d df is the only stupid shortcut. Dragon punches starting by themselves from a crouched position is too good. Should be like how it was i sf2 sometimes where you buffer the real dp motion while whiffing a low quick move to get a low hitbox.

Well, to my utter fucking amazement, my cold went from being past the worst of it…to a full blown round two…I feel worse today than I did all week.
I’ll do my best to show up tonight, but if I can’t get to feeling like my eyeballs aren’t exploding in slow motion, then I’ll pass.
