First table is U1 after command grab , ex shoulder (middle of the stage).
Second table is the same but in the corner.
About the “tiny step”, they say you have to walk foward for 3-4 frames.

Oook, so i just pulled off a 536 combo with Genei Jin… Is that normal o_O btw used ultra 2 fully charged for end hits. whats everyone else’s damage outputs? without the ultra my combo is 500/511…

Hmm idk , doing it on Sagat , it worked for me (Forward Throw -> MK DP -> Neutral Jump Fierce) .

the title of each table is zenpou --> EX shoulder … so I guess EX shoulder after the U1.

Finding it alot easier to do cross up divekicks after MK upkicks rather than HK. After MK upkicks, neutral jump MK divekick near the peak crosses up. It’s deep enough to be followed up with a cr.MP and very hard to autocorrect DP.

After HK upkicks, I haven’t been able to crossup easily with MK divekick, while HK divekick puts you too far away to combo.

Haven’t tested on many characters though, so it might be different on others. I tested on Cody, Ibuki, Ryu and Viper. If you time it right, you can even make the divekick unblockable on Viper.

thats right, because of juggle limits, you can only get and EX shoulder after that particular setup.

people talking about the Sagat safe jumps, please remember that Sagat gets up 1f later than majority of the cast.

I’m not sure if this is common knowledge or not, but I figured I’d write it down as it is something Diago makes use of.

Usually when you have your opponent in the corner, you’d think going for a command grab and giving up your positioning is a bad idea. However, If you have your opponent in the corner and you command grab them (putting yourself in the corner), you’re close enough to do a close standing MP right away which can combo into EX Lunge to U1 easily. I’m not sure if this is character specific, but it works on everyone I tried it on.

How do you know this? Is there a list of character wakeup times?

Blanka Cammy and Sagat only people I know who wake up later than usual , obviously I knew these beforehand . But the forward throw -> MK dp kicks -> neutral jump fierce works for me when I play Sagats , don’t know why it doesn’t work for some users here .

I don’t understand how that could be a safe jump.

After fwd throw I do MK DP as soon as I can, then jump up and do fierce and TU hits me everytime.

Fwd throw > LK DP, wait a tiny bit then jump fwd mk (or w/e attack) works better for me.

As you can see it’ll beat reversal flash kick (4 frames) but lose to both LK and MK versions of super because they’re 2 and 3 frames respectively.

Do you wait in between a certain jump with the Sagat safe-jump ? I just mash MK DPs right after toward throw and then hold neutral jump during the DP’s and then once I jump and near his body , I press fierce and hold back , and then I either block Tiger Uppercut or he blocks , always works when I face my bro .

I inhaled the whole thread and want to thank you for this.
I just picked up Yun on AE EU Release and have never played 3rd Strike.
Two strange things happened yesterday while sparring with a friend of mine.
First After and Air to Air divekick, similiar to Close mk Jump canceled divekick, I landed in front of Oni and tried to s.HK but the HK came out on the wrong Side… I can Upload the Match If you wanna See it.
My guess: something went wrong with a possible crossup and the Slow startup Caused it. Or something like this.
Second I maybe found an Option select, After my dive Kicks got focused I did a empty jumpin while buffering cmd grab. Oni did Move forward and I unintentionally crossedup with Dragon Kicks Coming out As soon As I landed

I dont know if anyone else posed this but this a really easy combo into ultra 1 in the corner and can be followed up (of course)
and still does good damage:

s.MK -> s.MK -> U1 -> *EX Shoulder *[Damage: 449, Stun: 220] Damage was tested at full health

*Im not 100% percent about this but for this combo specifically, i think only ex shoulder can be used for the follow-ups, ive tried ex lunge and the other specials, but there either too slow, or too fast.

No need to do two st.mk…use one… U can then juggle with ex lunge,lunge,shoulder etc… after the ultra…
