@ Ikaru, I will defend Dino_Prince on this one. Cammy’s tkcs is removed, but the whole character playstyle is different in AE so no complaints on that. The character is not braindead, not in vanilla,super nor in AE. I know that this guy shouldn’t have complained here either way, but let’s be honest, when did Ken when a tournament? Even I placed second in a local tournament with average players, lost to a viper, it was vanilla. Ken cannot win without intensive homework about every matchup, even against Dan.

If you get a counter hit then you opponent is doing it wrong, it shouldn’t even be used if your tk hits him too far. And cr.mp on first frame after block stun of the tk can stuff your cl.mp or trade with it, but delayed grab beats the cr.mp. Whatever, I just backdash.

I mean yeah, Ken ain’t winning tournaments either but he’s going out of way to post in Ken forums to whine to us about his character gettin’ nerfed. We don’t roll around in other character forums crying to them about LP SRK getting more recovery or Air EX Tatsu not being an overhead anymore. We just take what we get and accept it, be glad we got something instead of nothing or even less ala nerf bat. Her normals which were already good got buffed and added block stun/hit stun equaling even more safe pressure.
Maybe she’s not braindead but it’s not rocket science to get a feel for the character, learn her bnb and then get to the hard part, match ups. I cried tears of joy when I heard TKCS was removed unless spending meter, I was ready to break out the crystal glass and drink the tears of ALL cammy players that day. Fuck Cammy. Love you GTF, you’re knowledgeable and fair. Great contributor to Ken forums.
I trust capcom, I mean, they added TEN new chars with super (and they gave everyone a U2) and the game came out more balanced than ever…
I think AE will prolly be even more balanced than SSFIV… Hopefully, at this stage, we can all agree that it`s not the character winning the match, but the player…
On a side-note, I agree with Ikaru… A cammy player shouldn`t complain (especially not to Ken-players)
IIRC it takes 22 tkcs to build one meter, not really something anyone should be complaining about and I thought it was laughable when people were saying this is the reason for the nerf when the loketest came out.
I’m a Ken/Cammy player, they nerfed Cammy too hard… tkcs being removed is fine, removing quick jump strike is bullshit. They gave Cammy some ridiculous links though… but still now she’s cvs2 cammy without godlike pokes and unsafe specials.
But that guy shouldn’t have came in here anyway…

I agree. I think it would really help a lot. Everytime I ask for match-up questions, it never gets answered, and I’m left to just lurk the boards searching for my answer. No bueno. Most of the time I don’t even find what I need.

I totally agree with what you’re saying, she used to be my secondary. Btw Yun can build meter for free too, Bison, honda, and even shotos can build meter for free by back jumping tatsu, even if it is slightly punishable.

I’ve won tournaments with ken they not majors but I’ve won at least 5 and placed top 3 a lot since super came out.but neither ken or cammy has won a major I’m still wurkin on that
I was more annoyed with some cammy player coming to cry about his nerfs in the wrong place really. I really think Ken in Super can win a major but it’s like there are walls that you as a player would definitely have to worry about. And those are the tough matches IMO, and a constant mix up. Keep it fresh and don’t let them feel out a pattern from you.

Anyway about the organisation of match-up threads. I kinda like the idea of individual match-up threads to be honest, information becomes a bit more organised and discussions become a little more centralised and less muddled. Maybe we should we make a poll to vote on it?
Lemme reiterate a previous statement I made…Fuck Cammy. And lol at Jwong using cammy one fucking time at Grand Finals. If I recall Gamerbee blew up his cammy in a bad match for Adon back at SB5. So the only note worthy player was MarlinPie, but referencing a tournament where Sagat got three spots of top 10 is…nevermind. I’m done listening to this whining kid, sounds like Vanilla-Sagat mainers discovering the truth about SSF4-Sagat.

That’s true, but that means we’ll have to have 39 (including Yun and Yang) different threads stickied. I think having 1 universal match-up thread would be cleaner and it would bring together the same kinds of people that’s looking for match-up knowledge.
I like the idea that if you do a match up thread, one thread with spoiler tags for each individual character. 13 characters per post so it’s not too congested.
