thunderbolt should atleast be an overhead lol cause they can take less chip by just crouch blocking rather then standing. the buffs dudley got i’m pretty sure will help in the long run but right now we are just afraid it wouldn’t be enough and that we just want to “make sure” that dudley won’t be gutter trash.

the match up that I feel will be better for dudley is against vega AND alot of characters with air throws + characters like dhalsim that can keep you out of the air with their air to air normals. the better air to air buffs will certainly help alot vs vega hands down. also the neutral jumping heavy punch will be a GREAT safe jump against opponents in the corner. Meaty J.neutral HP and then either go for a low or high mix up after they block it, if they mash then it’s blocked, if they back dash you can do whatever you want to them.

I didn’t realise changing the input motion for a move meant it was a buff, apart from removing the predictability of it. Sure, it’s the worst 50/50 in the game, but having it as a charge move is just ridiculous - they should just remove it from the game entirely.

It is a charge move though. Has been since second impact. And it has a practical but very gimmicky use: you can use it to get out of safe jumps and chip the opponent to death.

Good luck with cody. But dudley is much cooler. No char can compare in class. Dudley combos are the nicest in the game.
About thunderbolt it is great for chip and I only use it for that because it is too unsafe otherwise. Once you land an ultra you can finish with that.
The problem is Dudley is too complex to master. HJMxp has great Dudley yesterday I saw a match on PSN where he perfected deejay also doing a fantastic reset. Dudley makes you work too hard and the problem is against scrubby chars they are just spamming shorukens in between your combos and jump back. The other day a noob spamming shorukens even had the nerve of sending me a message saying that I was spamming just because I was on noob alert mode and punished his random shorukens.

I miss abuse messages. Not had one since playing here (Singapore).

Exactly, I mean he has charge to actually rise up and slam his fist down. Leave the move like it’s meant to be, it looks cool, but it’s just not good at all.

Dudley fucking sucks. Abandon ship I say. No shame in that, he’s dead last in 2012. I picked up Oni and after, like, 3 days of real use I’m doing so fucking much better it’s not even funny. Oni is literally the first shoto character I’ve ever really used so it’s not like I’m good in general with those kinds of characters. His normals actually work like they’re supposed to, ALL his special moves have real applications and he can do real soviet damage too.

since mr.x being lazy as always… would you guys think the new ae 2012 standing roundhouse on counterhit would combo into ultra1/ultra2? since st.hk into low ducking on CH being +7 and since LK ducking has 20frames of recovery and the ST.HK being 15 frames of recovery we’d get an extra bonus of +5 it being on hit making St.hk on CH without canceling into Low ducking would make it +12 CH? so we could link it into ultra1/2?
