Okay so, Seattle Marvel yeah!

How about this, whatever entry fee is winning the poll by the time the next tourney comes up, will be what the next entry fee will be. The next tourney should be on the 22nd, so that’s plenty of time.

Sound good?

Charging 5 dollars at the door sort of takes away from the “Come on in and play games with us” attitude that I think Zach is trying to make the whole night about.

Going to hangout with friends and meet new people is mostly the reason that I go in the first place. If we start charging money at the door, soon not as many people will be coming. Ending up with fewer people, but more money, is a huge minus in my book. Automatic entry also means that we have to plow through a shit load of crappy players who shouldn’t enter anyway, and that would take up a lot of pointless time.

Also, who is going to be the one to tell someone new that they have to get the fuck out and come back next time because they ain’t got the cash to make new friends. Not me.

marvel sounds good right now.

Am I the only one who found that post just humorous?

Edit: I just kinda thought of this- if Marvel were three dollars, then you could comfortably participate in any three tournaments on a five-dollar bill, which probably sounds appealing to all the cheap gamers in the house.

I think so

3 is not bad at all.

Oh snap! Didn’t mean to try and take credit for your insight. I should read more carefully

More people should vote or something. I guess technically, three dollars is winning because while Brent did vote for two dollars, he posted and said he wanted three dollars.

shrugs

Someone should vote and remove all doubt!

Ifff someone wants to show me some mvc2 basics at the next gathering, I’ll start donating, regardless of how badly I get raged.

Woops. Yeah, you can switch that. I could have sworn I voted 3?:wtf:

Can I change my vote to 3 as well, the whole 5 dollars gets you in all tourneys works for me.

I don’t see how the people who voted $5 don’t even enter when it’s $5 right now.

The only thing I’m worried is that the winner does not get as much payout, and might discourage people like Row or Jmar to come.

That probably isn’t an issue considering they also come to play poker.

i still dont have much of an impetus to really play MvC2, i dont practice here at home.

I played Dann the other night and now I just feel helpless! Even if I pick a godly anti-air assist, all anyone has to do is hover above my forehead and they win for free.

I’d vote, except that I haven’t been to Zach’s house or seen anyone from Seattle in about two years so I don’t feel like I should be moving the tally one way or the other. Seems like it’s been way too long.

When STHD comes out I’m liable to go on a good long break up in the Portland area though, so I might just head up there, hopefully with the game available to play. That would be the awesome sauce.

Whoa. So much good shit to read.

Man. I’ve been slippin. Broke ass nigga!

Then.

Nevermind.

Nate: U don’t need to practice marvel at home to play

I think thi is really fair. You have to do a MM with me next gathering to be able to pay to enter tournament.

I’ll be back for a couple weeks at the start of August… MAKE IT HAPPEN! I’ll pay $30 if that means I have to be eliminated 10 times (to make up for the year I’ve been gone, of course). =P

After that I’m moving to Seoul and playing at Green for a year to then make my WA return as a Tekken god.

P.S. I owned the hell out of both Osaka and Kyoto with Dhalsim teams. =)
