Here it is! One of the three matches that were recorded, I think this one is the one where I shined most though.

DAMN Shadow! Top 3 is pretty awesome. That match was too hype.
Shadow that was wildly entertaining. Plz post more of your gdlk cap
LOL Shadow you have the best game face I’ve ever seen! Your so serious, just like me when I’m playing! lmfaoo Great Cap though. And you and Kei were the only people i’ve seen posting spencer and cap videos so that is why I put your name in my video :-D! Keep up the good work soldier!
although his winning face was too funny. Don’t know if it’s a troll laugh or just very happy.
I was extremely nervous as I haven’t played in a tournament since October! I just couldn’t believe that I had won that match (as howtoread is one of the best players in UK! Thanks a lot guys and I’ll post the others when they get uploaded (although one of them I didn’t do well at all).
Also, please do give feedback on what I can improve on (but keep in mind that I did go for more simpler combos because I’m not used to tournaments).
Says you as you land the corner relaunch
One thing I noticed was that you opted to go for resets a lot when you probably could’ve just gone for a kill. I don’t think you need to be shy about using meter with Cap, he definitely builds more than enough to sustain himself, nor do you really have anyone in back who is particularly meter-intensive. Other than that, really good stuff.
go simpler! haha. you gotta have a combo that you never drop(i know that yer execution is godlike and you prolly never drop yer BNBs, but CAP combos can go simpler as you know. just to make sure you kill deadly lowlife characters when you catch them(strider, zero, mags come to mind)
Like there’s that one example of you dropping strider cuz you missed that charging star link, good thing he didn’t go an do ouroborous xfactor after that.
Here are the two other matches:

I really need to learn the Trish matchup T_T
After watching those 2 matches.
Really enjoyed the matches. I think you need to use Spencer assist more. Definitely should mix up your assist calls between Doom and Spencer since they control space differently. For example, you do a lot of dash up and jump forward shield slash :l: to chase (which is not safe). Before you jump, just call Spencer and that would provide you immediate cover and control all normal jump height and below screen space and you’d probably get a combo off either of them hitting.
Also would like to see more Cap’s utilize his double jump more. It’s very strong, and that one time you used it to bait an attack and get an air throw was nice!

Got challenged to a money match by some Cap wannabe who took up Cap for ultimate after I dominated tournies with vanilla Cap.
I had not played Marvel for over 4 weeks as I was only playing AE. Still did well outside of silly easy combo drops.
Lots of salt cam. For some reason I cant seem to stop slapping my titties. Enjoy.

I can’t believe I dropped your “Hate mail” combo, Kei :(. I really shouldn’t have lost this match. I’m so mad.
Got some pretty sweet combos in there.
You should def pay more attention to when people call assists. This guy does it very predictably. You have Capt. and Spencer, two of which punish errant assist calls very hard. For cap, just stay mid screen range, :h: charging start xx Hyper charging star. Spencer can Bionic Arm.
One of the best things about Capt is that you’re not allowed to call assists against him 90% of the time. You have to use that to your advantage and remind people why.
Side note, even though there are so many Spencers running around, it still seems like no one really knows how to deal with him. Good news for me since I use Spencer.
Thanks. I got a bunch of feedback from a friend, and I will take all of this into account. I can’t adapt very quickly, unfortunately. I need about 10 games before I start figuring someone out, and also figuring out what I can / can’t do against a certain playstyle / team.
I’m still really new with Spencer / Task. Right now they’re just liabilities. I might even just drop them entirely because I don’t like the way they move around. I still have to play around with it. Cap -> Spencer has crazy damage, but if I’m not comfortable moving with them, I might as well not use them.
What was suggested, since I like these characters, was Cap / Pool / RR. It will be interesting to say the least, mostly because I’m pretty against the idea of RR anchor. I might move around to Cap / RR / Pool, since in this sense all of my DHCs are safe, except for the ones back into Cap. In Vanilla my team used to be Cap / Pool / Sent. So I’ve got some tech with those two already. It’ll be a bit different since I don’t need Katana assist anymore. I’m still in a big character crisis, unfortunately.
can someone elaborate on this?
It’s jump A, Down C, S, land, crouch A, Crouch B, Crouch C, launch into whatever you want.
Ah okay. I already do that. That’s not a loop though, nor is it very good. Thanks for taking the time to tell me though.
Cap doesn’t have very good incoming mixup, my most effective one (which I got from Dacidbro) is jump H shield slash, call assist (I have Wesker or Hawkeye), Cartwheel behind them, if they block it I go for the tick throw and if you shield slash x factor launch after, that is pretty much a dead character. or you can just hyper charging star which is good damage. Sad my assists don’t give me capabilities of doing combos off of a front throw.

Our crew leader has uploaded a vid for Cap’s less used Hyper Combo in the game for certain tight scenarios and it’s something I think Cap players should use. It’s something he came up on his own and he’d like to share it since that was his whole purpose from the beginning, to find tech/tools for a teammate.
