OG Kof2002 - Character writeups(Strats, matchups, combos, everything)

Got 2 og 2k2 questions. I keep seeing this vid of Vice in max mode cancelling Outrage (slicing kicks), into Mayhem (shoulder ram), then repeated Ravenous (aerial Outrage) in the corner until the opponent dies. Is this a hacked version I’m seeing footage of (uploader always has spanish name or vid description is in spanish)? I cannot cancel anything out of either version of Outrage, but Mayhem into Outrage works (but doesn’t juggle).

I’m not good at using these move names, since they don’t actually mean anything with regards to what the move actually does…

You can’t cancel qcb+P into her qcb+K because qcb+K isn’t free cancellable…you can cancel out of qcb+K though so I’m not sure why you’re having trouble doing it. Yes, you can continuously juggle with air qcb+K but it’s not easy.

Also, is it possible to do a loop with Mature’s hcb + k and her qcb + p until the max meter’s empty, like when you alternate the first hits of Kyo’s doku/ara gami chains?

Sort of but it’s not easy to do.

It was pretty much the end of the combo…I don’t think he could have added anything else so he went with the ebony teams trick and it worked. Keep in mind she has no supercancellable special moves so it’s not like she could have ended the max combo there with DM/SDM.

Couldn’t he have just repeated hcb k, qcb p x2, hcb k, until the MAX ran out? It needn’t have a big finish like what he tried for with Ebony Tears. Just keep cancelling and doing damage.

She was almost already out of max time. You lose 1/5th after each cancel and she already did 3 before ebony teams i think.

The best you can get with Mature is normal xx qcb + K xx qcb+Px3 xx qcb+B before you are pushed too far away and then your only options are qcf,hcb+P and qcf+P, neither of which will combo. 2k2UM version has a LOT more options. To get more out of max mode combos with Mature you can learn how to BC into j.B for a tiny bit more damage (stylish though!).

Vice. qcb+K xx qcb+P works. I don’t think you can start the air qcb+K infinite off a regular shoulder charge though. It has to be either counterhit qcb+P, or hit them out of the air with qcb+K.
