At the request of a friend of mine, I started an Alliance character to play with her. Draenei Warrior, and since we only play together I decided to go Protection spec. Damn, tanking is fun as hell. How come nobody ever wants to tank, just DPS DPS DPS? I’m a little disappointed that the new patch is allowing Thunder Clap to work in Defensive Stance though because Stance Dancing is part of what I was enjoying so much and now there’s one less reason to do it. Also Draenei = best warriors… A warrior who can heal himself is way too awesome.
Also still playing my Troll Hunter. Yesterday a flagged NE Hunter ganked a kill I was going after, so I killed him. I then set my cat to Prowl and Feigned Death. He came back and started laughing and dancing, thinking I had died. Then I jumped up and killed him again. Good times.
How come 90% of Hunters seem to be Beast specced?
Most warriors prefer to be arms/fury spec’d because prot warriors are pretty gimped all around when it comes to PVE DPS, PVP, farming, etc. Right now I’m prot spec’d and MT for my guild (working on Nightbane and High King Maulgar right now) and one of the best geared warriors on the server at the moment, but I can’t PVP or can’t kill anything to save my life. If it’s group PVP I fair a bit better, as I can be rather annoying with a group rather than doing solo PVP (being the last one alive in Arena = LOL; 12k unbuffed HP, 13k armor, defensive stance, and last stand make you really annoying and take forever to kill). When I’m out farming and have to kill mobs, I can kill stuff fine, but it takes me forever to kill something (prot war DPS is like 200 DPS or so).
Pretty much prot warriors give up EVERYTHING besides tanking for the sake of their guild. Raiding and tanking is all the do.
As for me, I love tanking almost as much as I loved DPSing as Fury pre-TBC, but being able to raid Karazhan all the time once my guild was ready was definitely worth the sacrafice. I’m a PVE kind of guy, so being prot spec is right up my alley. Most warriors prefer being able to still PVP and DPS… but as the game is right now, DPS warriors are the least desired class in a raid. And if they are DPS, they better be DW Fury instead of gimp-arms spec’d.
As for a lot of hunters being BM spec… I’m not really sure why. In PVP beastial wrath is pretty broken since the hunter and his pet cannot be feared, snared, or rooted in any way. Depends on what situations you find yourself in, I suppose, if you want to be BM or Marks spec’d.
I just got a random ban for “exploiting the economy” in WoW, I was taking a 2 week break and got this email yesterday. WTF!

I’ve been hearing bans for some stupid shit lately, and most of them are…Ban first, ask questions when you ask questions later type shit.
It took some druid like 1 week IIRC because he transferred a lot of money to a friend, and blizz thought he was a farmer selling gold.
Beast mastery spec is well known for a fast leveling pace. (Makes your pet great at holding aggro/doing decent damage) Marksman spec is fine as well with it’s own strengths and weaknesses.
Dammit I dunno what I plan on doing, but I might quit my rogue and play another class as my main. 21 people signed up for Kharazan. I had to sit out… damn rogues.
BM for the leveling win. I hold my own pretty well in pvp with it also.

EDIT: Basically anything that would cause my character to move differently than he normally does (debuff wise) i’m immune to, including hamstring, and crippling poisons, freeze. It’s only 15 secs though, but against cloth wearers, it’s usually enough time, and against heavy armors, it will usually give me the distance while i joust them with wingclip and kite. For that 15 secs i can’t be incetercept stunned either.
Death coil is just a fear with a lifetap effect right? I’m pretty sure I break that with Will of the Foreskin I mean Forsaken, but I can’t be sure cause I always have a bajillion DoTs on me until I put my bony foot in the lock’s mouth. Which reminds me… if I kick them in the ass first, that would mean I went ass to mouth. :tup:

Protip: Attaching Steel Weapon Chain to your Offhand immunes your Mainhand.
Protip: Update Addons during Maintenance.

No, WoTF does not break Deathcoil. Nor does berserker rage. It is a HORRIFY effect, not a fear effect. As far as the BM spec stopping Deathcoil, if it did I’d be amazed.
