i need someone to explain AOE grinding with mages to meā¦
i have 3 mages and i wanna AOE grind to likeā¦ 70ā¦ they are 49 now.
Um. It is basically just killing multiple mobs at once with attacks that do damage equally to mobs in a given radius for an attack
for prot pallies, we pull 3 or more mobs and spam consecrate and keep holy shield upā¦with retribution aura and blessing of sanctuary up. This causes all enemies attacking me to take damage. So they all get whittled down over a period of time
for mages itās gonna be arcane explosionsā¦frost nova and whatever that aoe blizzard spell is. (never played a mage sorry)

yeah so I stayed up late last night trying to grind the last bit of honor for the S1 sword (itās a start shut up) Had a 2k honor cushion. Woke up and I was 500 honor shortā¦wtfpwnd

Yeah so I just really suck I think, and I donāt feel like downloading 437 mods and putting 794 hours into grinding to get gear good enough to even stand a fighting chance of standing on par with other easier classes. And shelling out another 5-600 hundred bucks for a computer JUST so I can play a game I largely despise at times isnāt an appealing option. So I think Iām just gonna quit now and enjoy RL for a little while

Spec frost. Iād skip on Frostbite (I think thatās it) the talent that gives you a chance to freeze them in place from being slowed. It kind of screws with mobbing.

Put up ice shield or whatever itās called. The thing thatās like a priest bubble.

Frost armor, the one that slows movement speed when they hit you.

Mount up. Ride through group of meleeing mobs. Ranged mobs will fuck this up. Try practicing on the pirates in Tanaris, the ones on the east coast that you have to go through the caves to get to. Iād suggest the ones near the boat. The ones in white, the dockworkers, and a couple others. The ones in purple have guns though.

Grab a whole bunch. When they hit you theyāll get slowed. Run around till you have as many as you think you can handle. Make sure theyāre all close together. Frost nova, hitting all of them. Run away a bit, cast blizzard so it hits like the first half of the group. Imp Blizzard rocks here, because it makes them super slow.

They should be almost dead from the blizzard. Run around and cone of cold then arcane explosion. If theyāve got a lot of life left try to live until you can nova again, repeat blizzard.
Ideally you want them to be either dead or about to die when you finish blizzard. If you have three mages doing this it will be fucking cake, but youāll probably run out of mobs very very fast.
The key is: no caster or hunter mobs. You want them to stay close so you can keep them together and kill them all with the same spell.
Iāve never played a mage doing this, I was a pally. I leveled with a mage who AOEed. I basically did what all prot pallies do when leveling, except instead of 3-4 it was like 8-10. But I would watch my mage partner do that while I ate/drank.
you absolutely positive about this? I was pretty sure that the account registration had to have the same last name.
found a sweet mod combo for those of you who are still leveling/questing you have to check out
Quest Helper & Cartographer. These mods together make questing so easy, they tell you where to go, where to hand stuff in, they reveal all the maps, they chart your course, estimate your time. etc.
questing isnāt a pain in the ass anymore lol, wish I had found these earlier.
