So like. My rogue had its name flagged for rename. Name was Shiranu. I refuse to rename until a GM will properly tell me why it was flagged.

So I’m leveling my Rogue but I’m doing it in AV that way I’ll have all my S1 Gear saved in the bank when I hit 70. Figure it will be good motivation to level quickly lol.

I somehow got lucky enough to find 5 bored enough people to run ZG Edge of Madness boss for the 3rd piece of my ZG trinket. I had gotten the previous two pieces before I quit WoW and now all I had left was two more and it was just my luck that the boss I needed was up till the 29th of Dec but at the same time it sucked because the boss I needed was the most difficult of the 4 summon bosses. We wiped once because while we were clearing Edge of Madness area we got a “This Instance will restart in 15 Minutes” message so we rushed to summon and ignored a pack of Imps that caused us to wipe when we engaged boss. After the restart we tried again and barely managed to kill him but I got my piece and now I just have to wait till the 30th for the 4th boss who happens to be really easy.

Two things: It fucking sucks playing my Rogue again due to the fact that all my friends on the server quit or transferred and another thing, it sucks that this level 60 trinket is the best Arena Rogue Mutilate trinket at 70 and with no one running ZG anymore it’s real pain in the ass to get. The potions to summon the boss are almost impossible to make now but I lucked out and had made 5 before I quit WoW that I had in sitting in the bank. :wgrin:

Use: Instantly increases your energy by 60 (3 Min Cooldown)

I got nerfed when TBC came out by reducing the Energy you received from it by 2 ever level you gained so at level 70 it’s 40 on demand Energy but the way the Rogues class works, they get 20 Energy every 2 seconds so when you use this you will almost always have the energy for a Mutilate(60E) or Backstab(60E) every time you use it.

Burst DPS is key in Arena and what this trinket provides is just too unique to pass up or replace, it’s why top tier Rogues still use it today.

Hold up. How are you leveling from 60-70 in BG’s alone? Explain your technique!! I wish to do this

AV has npc’s that give xp but very little after 60.

i got a 41 paladin named Nohomo and they havent asked me to change his name yet

and i only made him cause i was told i wouldnt have the name more than a week
this is 4 months later now

Warrior is painful to level.

Not many ways to run away from mobs that spawn on top or extra pull (best is piercing howl or intimidating shout and you have to pray to not get dazed or get more mobs) unlike pallies with bubbles, druids with travel form, shammies with EB totem, rogues with vanish, so on and so forth.
Extremely gear dependant. If you don’t got the goods, you are going to have a hard ass time grinding
Groups. Many people want you as a tank but prot spec will suck for grinding until you get an instant attack and most people have the mentality that if you are gonna tank you need to be prot spec for earlier instances (like SM -> BRD).
You will be auto-attacking for the majority of the time. Although mages have it worse with their suggested frostbolt = answer for everything, it is still pretty damn boring until you level further.

If you are going to use a warrior ya might as well level him up yourself since it got faster with 2.3 and all. You’ll have to know how to use him or else people will catch on that you didn’t level him yourself. If Illidan is pvp, I don’t remember, it will either be better (it’s fun to worry about other level players) or be excruciating (in terms of 1v1 wars are the easiest to get the jump on, kite, and beat if gear is same).

Granted, I have a lot of fun with my war cuz of pvp and end-game stuff. Potatomuffin is the name and he be a Tauren warrior. Hopefully I’ll have 1850 soon since we’re at 1700.

well, illidan is pvp. and i don’t know how it would really be a problem if you followed joannas guide. If you don’t have joannas i can send it to ya.

plus if u need a runthrough of any instance my friend matt can do it to get u some decent gear.

Heroic strike is a ‘next attack’ ability for a warrior. Just say to yourself it uses up your white attack. It doesn’t gain you any rage and uses your swing time. It also is a huge threat generator.

Slam is a casted ability, but it resets your swing timer so depending on how you use it, it may take longer to generate your white attack to gain rage.

Many arms dps’ers use slam with the imp slam ability for DPS in raids as well as to dump rage. To properly use it, you must time the slam right after your white attack so you wait the least amount of time for another white attack.

So a regular DPS arms sequence would be something like charge/intercept -> Mortal Strike (instant) -> white attack (swing timer used up) -> slam (resets swing timer)…

I hope that makes sense lol

Quartz timer helps. But if you want to do the best raid dps DW fury with at least 155 hit and 33% crit will piss all over 2h dps.

BTW, ST Vega, what server ya play on? If it’s an RP server then that’s obvious. If not, a person can tell a GM to request a name change if it offends them personally (had someone change another person’s name because the word Greshmar or whatever offended them).

And Shodokan, I have no idea who that is but I did level my warrior on a pvp server to 60 pre-BC. It was fun, but it was a new server back then so levels weren’t that crazy apart. Illidan sounds like an older server so I am 100% sure you will run into tons of campers especially in STV (aka gank city).

fortunatley there are always 70s of your faction in the area.
