yeah seriously. I was talking to this girl today. and shes like yeah it’s a win but it would be boring, the games needs more excitment. I’m like…naw i’d rather it just play out 3-0. 2 minutes later it’s 3-2. fucking girls.
My main gripe isn’t the screen size so much, although that is a complaint, as much as it is the fact that, being microsoft IP, it locks any OS out that Microsoft doesn’t have a stake in from using it without problems (Moonlight still being in testing phase), such as anything UNIX style, save OSX. Plus it adds no real new functionality to the table that Flash doesn’t already have, just a way for Microsoft to get companies to lock out *NIX based systems without anyone knowing it.
I mean, I got Moonlight to work for what I needed it for last night, but usually…no good. And I missed all the Beijing Olympics because moonlight was still so unstable that it couldn’t be used yet.
Once HTML5 gets universal support and everyone can agree on a standard codec that will work on all platforms, both Flash and Silverlight will take the back of the bus.
Hopefully by the London Olympics, IMO.
