As much as I’m hopeful for today, I expect that we’ll get an update saying “soon”. Hope for the best, expect the worst.
Only the XBone Killer Instinct TE2 has LED butttons. The USFIV TE2 has all black buttons as shown in the picture.
I can’t say for sure, but it LOOKS like it’ll use the same template. I tried to create a rough draft of how my art would look on the USFIV TE2 using my art on the official TE2 template and it came out near perfect.
Also, do you guys know if there are any noticable differences between the KI TE2 and the USFIV TE2? I think I remember reading somewhere that slight improvements were made…not sure though.
Yep. One of the major complaints about the KI was that the top was bendy under pressure. They made the top sturdier in the non-KI version. I don’t remember what the other improvements were if any.
Maybe it’s because I’m pretty bad with photoshop, but the mockups I did moved the picture quite far to the right when I tried to line up the buttons from the template with the one from the TE2 image. You can see where the border separates on the left.
I just noticed something…the PS3/4 version has some extra buttons that the 360 version doesn’t. Looks like one button to toggle what input the stick uses (left stick, dpad, right stick) and a lock for the start/select buttons while the 360 image has nothing.
The plexi on the USFIV TE 2 is made of a different grade of material than that of the KI. I had a chance to try out the pre-production build at SEAM and it was noticeably less bendy.
The extra slider is for selection between PS3 and PS4.
Not what I meant. Right next to it are some extra buttons that aren’t on the 360 version. The XBone versions don’t have them but when I saw the album of the guy who had the PS3 USFIV one I figured they’d make the revision on the 360 as well. I guess not >.>
I feel like I probably should be considering PS4 version because if I ever do get another console, it will be a PS4 and the blue looks so much nicer. However I have UMvC3 on xbox with the Shuma Gorath DLC and to get the PS3 version costs an arm and a leg. Aside from MvC3 I’ll be using it on PC for USFIV, Skullgirls and some other games.
