I have an Xbox one Killer Instinct TE2 and a PS4 TE2. Would it be a difficult process to move the led lighting from the xbone stick to the ps4 stick?
FYI:
Chun TE2 up for preorder on Amazon.
Why are these $230? is the strap really worth $30?
Because Mad Catz knows people will still buy at that price in the sea of sold out PS4 sticks and scared to try Hori sticks.
Didnt markman say it would have the lenticular art and regular art…as well as having a more sturdy plexi and thestrap?
LOL this ends up being $370 on amazon after taxes with free shipping here in Canada.
You could buy a PS4 for that price…
New game license/first party licenses and royalties really tack on the base price.
BTW the main reason it seems like there is a shortage of PS4 FightSticks from Mad Catz is because we made improvements to the TE2 again to make sure the bulk of the new products (Chun-Li onward) are done right.
The Mad Catz version of the TE2 will have improved features as well, but will remain $199.99.
BTW hi. It’s been a long time everyone.

Good to hear from you Mark. Also Glad to hear that there revisions in the TE2.
what are the revisions, exactly?

Thanks for chiming in!! So the Chun stick’s extra $30 is completely dedicated to the art work then?

Most likely addressing all the complaints people have in this thread dealing with the plexy, how the buttons fit and such
Just got my TE2 Chun-Li today and I’ll say that the plexi is a massive improvement from my TE2 Rivals stick. A few months back I had logged a ticket about the shifting plexi and they basically sent me the exact part which did nothing to resolve the issue. This is the plexi everyone should ask for cause it’s solid.
Do you have a Tek Innovations plexi to compare it to?

I do not, but I had though about getting one for the Rivals stick. If I do I’ll post a comparison.
Didn’t see anybody post up about the TE2+ and the TES+ yet.

What bums me out is I was an early adopter of the TE2 (non-plus) and these new sticks have L3/R3 and the touchpad for either the same price or only $30 more. The same goes for TE2 Chun-Li owners. While L3/R3 and the touchpad aren’t required for fighting games, I’m sure they’re useful in training mode and navigating the console menus.
Had I known about these, I would’ve waited… that’s how technology goes I suppose.
Dat Shadowloo art doe!
P.S. The title of this thread should include SFV.

Tell me about it. I just got my TE2 last week after their re-stock. Had I known i wouldve waited… Hell im thinking about returning it now.
Thank goodness for that S+, I hate that overly angular look on the TE2, it’ like it tries to pull off some kinda of cyberpunk aesthetic but it just comes off cheap looking. TES+ will hold me over.

Totally agree with you about the angular design. I like the TES+'s simpler, boxy look.
What the TE2 has going for it is how easy it is the open up the case and the strap bars. Whereas the TES+ has a cable compartment.

Not a fan of cable compartments, the tabs for the doors just end up breaking and they are bad for the cables anyway. I have the original TE from that February released in 09 and the only thing really wrong with is the cable compartment tab. I’d rather loosely loop my cables with something like this.

Getting a Chun stick, the additions on the + models is probably going to annoy me to the point where I buy one of those when they release too… brilliant marketing/timing.
