Official USFIV/GGXrd/P4U TE2 Thread

Awesome. Can you tell us if that PCB is CG?

@SHSL_Street_Fighter‌ @NENDO‌

Ok, I got some screwdrivers and got a picture of the PCB. Since I’m completely clueless about electronics I didn’t disconnect most harnesses, soooo it’s not the best photo, but I hope it helps. Also updated my original post.

@FlyingPanda‌

After I plugged, the drivers installed automatically and it worked fine with MAME (PS3 Mode, DP)

Looks beautiful. But… Common ground? XD

Pretty sure it is after an initial investigation the guys and I did at EVO. It’s why I recommend picking up the PS4 variant if you have to choose.

Hmmm looks like I might be selling an empty TE2 case after these come out here.

What I’d love to do is mod a PS3/PS4 TE2 with the PS360+ so the stick goes to that when flipped to PS3 while keeping the original PS4 functionality intact. I imagine that’d take soldiering which I really need to learn. I also figure that might require drilling a hole in the TE2 case for an RJ45 passthrough so I can use the PS360+ on Dreamcast, PS1/PS2 (whenever Akishop fixes that) and whatever other older systems end up supported.

I’m really doubtful that’ll actually work the way you’re thinking.
As far as I know, the stock TE2 innards isn’t 2 separate PCBs (one for PS3 and one for PS4) with a selector of sorts; I’d be very surprised if you could remove and replace the PS3 functionality without repercussions on the PS4 side. At least, not with just soldering.

I 'm not too surprised. Eh, it’s not much of a loss. I’m getting a PS3/PS4 TE2 regardless because of the PS360+ PS4 limitations.

Hey @MarkMan, any word on those assorted TE2 side colors?

What exactly does a common ground PCB mean? What does it limit/allow (sorry, new around here).

The range of parts and accessories will hopefully make their debut soon.

Also, thanks for the pics/gallery Roddy!

Just another 16 hours for whatever this thing is. Hopefully it’s the news we’re expecting or perhaps something even greater ;3

“First of all, we’re pleased to announce that Mad Catz will be sponsoring the ESL One Cologne 2014 Counter-Strike Global Offensive Championship…To celebrate our sponsorship, we’re also planning on unveiling some incredible new tournament hardware.”

Really hoping we see some fightsticks and not just CS:GO related products like mice + keyboards…but we’ll see. Tomorrow is most likely the day I decide to wait for NA release or import from Japan. Please come through Madcatz. :[

This page will never load…

…And no fightsticks :frowning:

Keyboards and mice :confused:

So much for that…

A mechanical keyboard and 2 high DPI mice. Kind of boring, a good move business wise but boring.
Also, Markman, what is with the mouse designs? They look like evil Lego. The designs are pretty ugly.

Didn’t the announcement say stick on it?

Sigh, underwhelming GamesCon and an even more underwhelming Madcatz announcement.
