Official USFIV/GGXrd/P4U TE2 Thread

You could have at least invited me… ocean notwithstanding.

Hi,

I am new to the forums, and I am hoping someone will be able to help me with this question.

I am hoping to buy the Guilty Gear TE2 from akishop.jp but I am worried because it is from Japan will the MadCatz USA warranty work for it if there is anything wrong with it. Or will I only be able to send it back to Japan.

Thank you all in advance for all of your time and help!!!

Haven’t got a reply to my ticket in a while, are they just waiting for more plexis to come in?

Noice! Now awaiting PS4360 One PCB

Hello everybody!

Can someone please confirm, that the 360 version of these USF TE2 sticks are working all right on PC?
I read this thread thoroughly, but I found exact confirmation about the PS4/3 version. And yeah, I know that Xbox360 accesories
all should work on PC (with Windows), but I would think the same about XboxOne. (Shame on Microsoft for not releasing a proper driver!)
I don’t mind not having mode switch on the 360 version (guess it is lack due to factory / build expenses), I would be glad if I could grab
a good quality stick.
I hope beside the lack of mode switch, there is no big difference between the X360 and PS4/3 stick. I mean things that affect build quality: PCB, buttons, restrictor plate…

PS4 and 360 versions all use the same parts (buttons, stick).

@d3v I noticed you posted a picture of the PCB on the other page. Is that red wire in the picture the wire to the power source? I’m thinking of sticking a JLHS Flash1 in the Xrd TE, and I have no knowledge of the hardware aspects of sticks although I’m slowly learning. Thank you in advanced, po

Those wires are for the LED on the front.

my Xrd PE2 has just arrived at work! So happy! Unless I can find a cheap place in the UK that can print and cut custom artwork I’m going to hold off going to town on modding the stick until they release the Type N top panel…

Aight, thanks po. Which one is the VCC then? I tried reading the PCB but I think I may be blind and/or stupid.

MarkMan,

Any chance that Mad Catz will eventually offer replacement/spare Pro Cables? Maybe even the durable, multi-colored, braided cord type from the MLG Pro controllers (hint, hint)?

If it’s anything like the XBox One stick, then there should be usb solder points off to the right. You could try pulling 5v from there if you can get under and get a hold of the USB’s red wire.

I don’t have a TE2, so I’m kinda going off nothing, can anyone confirm this? You should be able to power the Rollie with the 5v coming from the USB.

I just pre-ordered the SFIV TE2 from the next batch, and some Arcade FightStick Tournament Edition S Side Panels. After reading a bit, I haven’t been able to find any info on whether the side panels would fit the TE2, but seeing a couple posts in this thread I’m now realizing that they likely won’t.

I’m going to email Mad Catz about my order, but was just wondering if anyone knew if they fit the TE2 or not.

Does anyone know if the 360 TE2 is common ground?

No, it isn’t.

BUT…
You can use the TE 2 version of the Crossbone for a dual-mod, The Crossbone will allow compatibility with dual mods and other mods that require common ground.

Hang on… you’re talking about the Xbone version, right? I thought the 360 version of the TE2 was common ground.

Alright, so Mad Catz updated my ticket and have approved of the parts I requested. I requested for either a fully assembled button harness with the new quick disconnects or just the quick disconnects alone, and a replacement plexi. They didn’t specify if they approved of all the parts requested since the message I got was, more or less, automated. Will update once I receive something.

Anybody know how to switch the screwdriver from hex to flat head? Seems really tight and I don’t want to attack anything with pliers again out of fear for ruining it. Also, while I’m waiting for an official LVT3 LED board for the PS4 TE2, I’m also considering the Kaimana. Since the PS4 TE2 is confirmed mostly common ground, how would you go about wiring the Kaimana? Is it as simple as following the provided instructions? I haven’t purchased anything yet. Just weighing my options. xD

I know about the Xbone TE2s not being common ground. Does anyone else have any experience with the Xbox 360 TE2?

(how do I do that thing where I embed tweets to my posts??? whatever, screenshot incoming)

Super jealous of you guys who got a Persona stick. I really dig the artwork on that one.
