Get what, the GGXrd sticks? They started shipping/processing now in the order they were received.
They all ship from Southern California. Canadian preorders shipped out today I think. They take longer as we batch them all together to go through customs at the same time.
@MarkMan No I’m referring to the xbox usf4 ones. You said you guys haven’t received them so they haven’t been shipped. Sorry for not being clear. Any guesstimate for when you guys will get them?
Sweet! A Noir layout! Add translucent black or white side panels and you have one sexy arcade stick. <3 B)
That reminds me, MarkMan, are there any plans at Madcatz for a KE2 stick? I’d like to see an update to that. I really like Korean levers when I play Tekken (otherwise I play pad).
I doubt that would ever happen. 6 Button set-ups unfortunately is a niche area, and I feel manufacturers like Mad Catz have to appeal to the widest market as possible.
I would not mind if there umm, a separate 6 button panel replacement part with this art scheme. Like how Mad Catz offered the UMK panel for the TE in the past.
Hey if anyone can help me out with button disconnecting advice I would really appreciate it. I had the original TE on ps3 and was able to swap out and disconnect buttons like nothing. For some reason with this new stick I cannot disconnect the buttons for my life. I am referring to the actual connectors of course with the plastic sleeve on them. I have tried wiggling, pulling relatively hard, have tried with the sleeve pulled both up and down. It just feels so fragile I don’t want to pull super hard on it and risk breaking it. Has anyone managed to swap their buttons? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Pull up the sleeve to expose the metal and get a sharp flat screwdriver(or a knife if you don’t have anything else) and put it between the metal quick disconnect and the button and lift it or almost rotate the screwdriver and it should loosen it up then try the other side of the button.
Or get needle nose pliers and lift up the plastic sleeve again and try and wiggle each of the quick disconnects loose.
Don’t use too much force with either method or you may break the QD or metal prong on the button, and don’t grab at the wires either or the wire might pull out of the QD.
The TE2 uses special type of quick disconnects that have release tabs. You just need to gently press down on the tabs (circled in light blue in the pictures below), and they come off very easily.
Anybody know what the part number would be for those faston terminals? They gotta be some kind of standard part from AMP or TE and can be picked up from the likes of Digikey or Mouser.
Yes. BTW, the TE2 has special release QDs that are different from past sticks. Why did we do this?
As an added benefit, the connection between the button/wiring is much more solid. Giving you the added security on top of ease of access to the bottom of the top panel now.
In fact, I believe it is superior especially over time. Wear and tear on QDs is something I’ve experienced/heard of in the past. With the new special release QD you apply less stress on the actual physical connection and have an easier way to remove them (gently apply pressure on the metal piece that sticks out). BOOM.
thanks that really helped me out, all buttons now changed.
I was also wondering if anyone knows which side replacement bezels fit this stick. I looked on the official mad catz site but in the description they say TE stick but don’t specify which variation.
My USF4 360 TE2 has air bubbles to the bottom and left in the plexiglass because the artwork seems to have bumps below it. Anything I can do about it?
Seems to be the same problem the other guys had, the art isn’t sitting flush.
There also seems to be dents/scratches on the plexi and laminate underneath.
