My friend told me that he has had success getting games early from kmarts in the past (ssf4) any validity to this?
kmart is random as hell… yes they do release games early sometimes… but whether or not they will stock the game at all or whether they will put it out on shelves before,after or on the actual release day is completely random… as if the people working there just randomly go in the back grab half the games there and bring them out… then wait another month and do it again…
ie, they probably got some brand new halo 1/colecovision games sitting in the back waiting to be sold.

Kmart isn’t going to sell UMVC3, so save yourself the time if you’re hunting for the game early.
If she got it from Walmart there is a good chance it’s not the game. I went again last night and the guy was like “Oh yeah, I got that game I need to put out follow me.” Followed with anticipation and the guy pulls out Marvel Super Hero Squad :rolleyes:. Funny thing is that Marvel Super Hero Squad has a street date of 11/16. They’re putting that game out but not UMvC3. I shot myself yet again.

Going to check out Elizabeth Center and j&l in NYC in a few hours to check if/when they’re selling it.
I personally didn’t see it but I know of someone that stated that it was there.
The community manager for Kmart’s game sales stated that they won’t carry it. Can you personally verify that particular Kmart has it?
Well, that leaves Kmart out of it. Good thing too, I was going to start calling all the stores up to see who had it and who didn’t.

Selling it online and selling it in-store are two different things. The CM made a post sometime in July stating that he didn’t want to carry UMVC3 because Kmart had sooo many copies of Vanilla collecting dust. He did, however, say the game would make a good sale online as a result.
You guys are welcome to check your local Kmarts if you want (I’m honestly thinking of trying myself in hopes of being proven wrong) but I’ve had personal interactions with this CM from previous sales and I trust what he’s saying over anything else.
