i have a question about tekken 5 since i never played it yet…does the old tekken characters play like previous ones or is it a brand new engine???
I really hope this is the case i remember seeing a video a while back he was doing somthing like df+2,1,b+1 2 hits i think uf+3
It was doing alot of damage to i’m not 100% sure if i used the right attack buttons there i’m very rusty with him

This question is for people who know what the fuck they are talking about: How is Craig? I heard he’s kinda broken.
he’s a lot better at poking from what i’ve experienced.
Broken? lol, no, he’s got some major holes you can exploit. None of his launchers are safe on block, he can’t out-poke anybody, and he gets fucked with his back to the wall.
That being said, he’s pretty strong. New options off df+3 series and easier 1,2, VTS cancel are an awesome addition to his combo game, and the stronger throw game helps him as well. Oh yeah, db+3+4 (VTS backdash) is fucking awesome, and helps SO much vs pokers. Main reason you want to stay away from the wall.
Unfortunately, d+1+2 got raped. Can’t go under highs worth shit, 'cause the tech crouch window is tiny and in a bad place (loses to high strings and throws for free). d+4 goes under highs every time and he’s got his high move reversal, but you need to train them like hell not to poke you.

Wtf…d 1+2 was my main weapon. That shit was great in T4. But is he better in T5 than in T4? Not that he sucked in T4 though.

Meh, depends on who you talk to. Frankly, I think he’s better, especially with the new system changes. Some people feel he’s weaker now that the tackle sucks ass, but I dunno, I play turtle Craig anyway.
Love this game so much. Already reserved it in full.
I missed Tekken a lot. T4 was fun but it was no T3/TTT IMO. So now it’s time to go back to the old schedule of Tekken, Eat, Sleep.(Smoke?)

i use a lot of characters but i only have a card for kazuya right now. i’m a 2nd dan (i don’t play anyone equal rank or higher so i can’t level up anymore) with a record of something like 95-31. think i’ll be getting a lee card soon too.
starting playing 5 was almost like starting from scratch, i’ve been PS2-less for almost 2 years so i haven’t played in a while. now though, i’m pretty much back to the school -> work -> tekken life
and to the person that asked about baek - pretty sure no NA machines have the TRCs out yet. the earliest machines should have them by 12/5 or 12/6 (castel, tragic, catlord, first-day arcades…) and every other machine should get them the weekend of the 10th or later.
Thx to the person that told me how to fight Lee with Bryan. I have no problem fighting my friends now. Especially the one that uses Lee. i can beat him with my Law now.
Well, i went to the mall today and this Korean guy busts out his Hwoarang shit. Ppl were impressed the way he uses Hwoarang. Well, first match, it was between him and my friend(uses Lee). My friend used to use lee on a pad, but he didn’t have it with him at the time, so he got served. Next, i came in, bust out my law, and he was gone, shook hand, then next… It was a pretty close match. He knows a lots of new moves and juggles. I only know the basics and some new moves with law, but i managed to beat him. Afterward, he joined in then beat me, then i joined back in then beat him. It was back and forth.
To the person that asks if Craig sucks. No, he doesn’t suck. Imo, he’s a lot better than when he was in T4. I think all the characters have been upgraded. But i’m anxious to know the tiers.
Right now, i just want to learn Jin and Bryan. On the other hand, i dun want to waste my money praticing with the two at the mall(waste of money, imo). I had 26 wins today, it was pretty crowded. I have a question concerning your tekken card. Is there a way ppl could make their card have more wins than losses. Because the Korean guy had 253 wins, and 65 losses with Hwoarang, and this Puerto Rican guy had 284 wins, and 23 losses with Raven. I think it’s possible that the Korean guy did get 253 wins on his own, but come on, 284 wins with RAVEN(blah). The game hasn’t even came out yet, and the dude has 284 wins. It’s not possible for the Raven dude to get that many wins, when my friends beat him like nothing.
I heard that Tekken5 is coming out for console soon. If so, can anyone tell me when, thx in advance.
I need some tips on how to beat Hwoarang and Feng with Law. I can’t seem to get in with Law, when playing against Hwoarang. If i managed to get in, i then get kicked in the face or get launched then there goes 45% of my life off of juggling. I need help guys. Like ways to get in and ways to beat Hwoarang. Like what are Hwoarang’s weaknesses and strengths. Same goes for Feng too guys. Thx a lot. Plz help. What moves should and shouldn’t use on Hwoarang and Feng. I know there are some Tekken pros in here. Don’t be shy. :tup:
There actually aren’t THAT many tekken pros in here. You REALLY need to go to tekkenzaibatsu.com. They have forums just like this site does and its ONLY about tekken. Most people here play capcom games. I play Tekken though, and COULD TRY to answer your question, but I’m not really sure what you’re asking. You seem way to hung up on character specific strategies, and it doesn’t seem that you are at that level yet. You need to learn more basic stuff first, but like I said, go to http://www.tekkenzaibatsu.com , read up on the forums about your characters, it will help you a lot more !
I registered long ass time ago, but i can’t reply or make threads. So, i gave up. When i got done registering, it says thank you and i may proceed. Also, i think i’m at tournys level, i should know what my potential is.
Yeah, the site is nice, but all they talk about is each charac’s moves, and not a specific match-up. Unlike here at SRK, where ppl would make a thread on a specific charac, then they get answers. Ppl at Zaibatsu need to make more threads like that. Since i can’t post on zaibatsu for whatever reason, could somebody that’s a member of the site make a thread on how to beat hwoarang, lei, and feng with law, in the law’s strategy thread.
