I’m now having this issue very suddenly after my setup was working 100% for over a WEEK.
firmware? I’m hesitant to update. Why all of a sudden would it stop working? I just didn’t want to update and make the situation worse. Also note i can’t get into config mode either just pass through and start fw upgrade.

hmmm difficult then… Which setup do you have? do you check the usb dataline cable in the screw terminals?
I just didn’t want to update it and risk “frying” something because it really seemed like the DS was in a weird state. Well, i updated the firmware anyway out of frustration to 3.1 and it’s working again.
The night before, I played GGPO 3s, the next day plugged it out the computer (while the computer was in sleep mode), and it just stopped working outside of pass through mode.
Any theory?
Is it now working after the firmware update or not working again?? Anyways you should straight go to 3.2, the “BETA2” label will be removed the next days, it should work better then 3.1.
IS WORKING after fw update to from 3.0 to 3.1.

Im having the same problem also, dsv2 dont work on ps3 says unknown usb on ps3, for xbox 360 its fine and when i go to pc it shows Super TE 360, no pc version or dualstrike for its name on my pc.
Tried to update to 3.2 beta but no luck, tried mp, hk, or others in pc no luck even start button dont work.
configuration of autodetect is somehow tricky … this is reason. IvIephisto made it much more tolerant in version 3.2
seems that it`s stuck to xbox360 TE PCB. Did you connect the stock usb cable from xbox360 TE PCB to Dual Strike screw terminals?

all dual strike to US was shipped out yesterday btw.
Did you check the button setup for some steady activation. perhaps you force the DS in xbox360 mode. If xbox360 works and the usb datalines are connected to DS this means that MCU works and give the signal for xbox360 select to the 4066 chip. So DS works, but it`s forced into xbox360 mode.
Second possiblity is xbox360 only configuration. Can you access the config editor?
This was my idea, Meus, try to disconnect the ribbon cable from the TEasy and then plug in the cable. Does it come up on PC as the DS?
You’re saying that when you hold START before plugging in the USB cable to the PC to try to update the FW, nothing comes, up? or is it unrecognized?
Hey Phreak, any news of when you would have a DS that you could ship out? If not within 2 weeks let me know so I can give you a different address to ship it to when im on winter break.
Hey, I’d imagine it will be within two weeks. Usually it takes the full 6-10 days to get to me but sometimes I’m surprised at it being closer to 6. I’ll let you know as soon as I get them so I can turn around and repack one up for you.
Either that or if time is of the essence I could send you back the one you sent me, which I’ve been using for testing of chips/updating FW.

I tried that way but nothing showed up, complete blank. Will do small video to u what i mean. I bought this stick off from Chouji here in srk. So what he did i dont know. When i got the stick, usb cable when plug in the pc it said malfunction. So i did quick look and all the loose wires werent cut properly. All this was done by him.
Done.
What I mean is, if you download the latest FW update FW 3.2 Update here, then after unzipping and holding START before you plug in the usb cable on PC, then once it’s plugged in you run the update_firmware_atmega168.bat file, does it start updating successfully or does it tell you that HID device not found?
