YAY! Because I was afraid you decide not to make any TEasy Mod v1.2 Board.
But then you are saying that you think you will, and you should be.
And that to me is not completely 100%.
So it possible you won’t do it?
You still have little quantity of TEasy Mod S v1.0?
Maybe I’ll just buy a TE S so I can get your TEasy Mod S.
I don’t have a TE anymore, so getting a TEasy Mod would be same.
Sorry for the confusion. Let me clarify
I’ve sent for quotes on all the parts necessary to build up another small run of TEasy Mod v1.2 boards (the round 1/2 compatible version) plus extra for prototype combination boards. As soon as they get back to me I will be placing an order and will have the parts in my hands in roughly 3 weeks. I wanted to wait on buying more boards/parts until I got enough feedback from users, and thus far the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, so I’m going to chalk that up to a successful beta and continue forward with TEasy Mod sales.
Yes, I still have a over a dozen TEasy Mod S v1.0 boards, and Jochen will be sending me more Dual Strike boards soon so I can ship the two as a package.
I am sorry if this has already been covered but I’m very serious about buying one of these and wondering exactly what the difference between v1.0 and 1.2 is.
Well the very first TEasy that Phreakazoid187 showed to SRK in this Thread was TEasy Mod v1.1 being.
That PCB was green instead of blue as TEasy Mod v1.2 now.
The TEasy Mod v1.0 was green also.
From v1.0 to v1.1, had better measurements for the pins.
From v1.0 to v1.1, silk screen label was added to the USB part.
From v1.0 to v1.1, the rings for shrouded header got enlarged.
From v1.0 to v1.1, the directional headers were moved by 0.5mm up being.
TEasy Mod v1.2 added through-hole for VCC and Ground.
TEasy Mod v1.2 now has one of the clips be able to open all way.
Sorry, I’ll reflect this in the OP for easier finding.
The difference in the boards:
TEasy Mod v1.2: This board works on ALL round 1/2 Madcatz TE/SE sticks, including Femme Fatale/MvC/Comic-Con Limited Editions
TEasy Mod S v1.0: This board works on the new SSF4 Madcatz TE sticks, and will more than likely work on the new sticks coming out soon (Chun Li Blue).
Jdm is correct in the changes, but right now both boards are identical in functionality (VCC/GND screw terminals). The only difference is in which stick they will work with.
Oh, was he saying v1.0 as in the TEasy Mod S v1.0?
My entire Post was just about TEasy Mod, not TEasy Mod S.
The whole time I thought he was referring to the TEasy Mod v1.0, your very first one.
Well in that case, TEasy Mod v1.2 is for all Tournament Editions that are not TE S.
TEasy Mod S v1.0 is for TE S.
Here I will list all the Tournament Edition that will use TEasy Mod v1.2 being:
[]Original Tournament Edition
[]San Diego Comic-Con Tournament Edition
[]Femme Fatale Tournament Edition
[]Asian Tournament Edition
[]Marvel vs. Capcom Tournament Edition
[]Round 2 Tournament Edition

EVO 2010 Gold Tournament Edition
And then come the new TE, with different look and change in PCB; this will use TEasy Mod S v1.0 being:
[]Tournament Edition S
[]BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Tournament Edition

Aura Blue Chun-Li Tournament Edition
Hey phreak hope all is well for you today. It was a pleasure meeting you yesterday and once again I must say thanks for modding my stick and making such a great product. I’ll post the pictures I took when I get a chance. Keep up the good work buddy!
Scanning thru the pages, I’m wondering if you have a FAQ available for the product ?
-I’m wondering if I mod a TE Round 2, with a MC Cthulhu and no IMP, do I need to keep the “guide/home” button and turbo area on the top ? or can I hide it inside, and use a full panel plexi from Art ?
For my new stick, the case was done by bencao74, I used a Dual Strike V2 with a TEasy+TE360 PCB and it works like a charm. The TEasy is good stuff :pleased:
Glad you like it man, thanks again for the opportunity to do an “on the fly” dual mod. The hardest part was getting the DS situated and connected to the outgoing usb line, but then again I was leaning against a small shelf with only the light of a phone to guide my hands
As Jdm said, as long as your using Start + Select = Guide, then no, you won’t need to keep that panel.
Holy shit, TEasy Mod inside a custom. eeeeeeek . Nice job with the new ribbon cable, I think from now on I’ll cut the cables to more of like a 4 inch length instead of the beastly 7-8 inches I’ve been cutting them at, so much excess but I didn’t know how it’d pan out
I hear rumors that a TEasy will be used in conjunction with a DSUB for project box functionality, I can’t wait to see that. Perhaps I’ll stock up on crimp DSUB connectors for that purpose.
My next batch needs to get here asap, I can’t wait to make more of these available for people. Lead times for so many pogos can be rough
Hey guys, I know it’s been a while but i’m extremely pleased with my experience and the result of the TEasy and Dual Strike. Meeting Phreak was a pleasant experience to say the least. Expecting to purchase the board and go home to mod the stick myself, Phreak was nice enough to do an on the fly mod. First thing besides opening the stick was cutting the usb line from the TE pcb and connecting onto the Dual Strike and strapping it down to the TE. Next up was the TEasy board where we removed the stock pcb and installed the TEasy in place. Once strapped down the next step was clipping the solder joints from the back of the stock pcb and placing it on the TEasy. With the ribbon cable installed the last thing to do was a functionality check where everything was perfect on both PS3 and 360. The mod only took about 25-30 mins due to poor lighting conditions with the assistance of my phones screen. Without further ado…pics. Pleasure doing business Phreak. Good luck with your future projects
