Official Street Fighter IV FightSticks & FightPad Thread (More on the way!)

they have no idea at all how much they will get , prepare to be disapointed…

Ok guys, I am out. It’s a lost cause.

Thanks a lot for this information ! I asked the same thing to amazon.fr and I got a standard bull***t reply stating: “the item will be delivered as soon as they receive it from madcatz”.

I will definitely keep my pre-order at lizardlink ! (my preorder for the TE @ amazon.fr was done just before they closed it, so I’ll never get it, they must have accepted hundreds of pre-ordered to see the stick no2 in the top sell…)

yep I’m keeping my preorder at shopto aswell so far , and I hope that the pounds exchange rate will not go too high until the release , I ordered at around 8.30pm last night on amazon.fr so not sure if I ordered early enough!

All this mess around the release is kinda crazy :o

Damn you UK SF addicts qeuing on amazon.fr instead of the rightful customers :wgrin: (kidding).

I agree this all story kind of crazy …

I aint from Uk mate :stuck_out_tongue: I’m french hehe

Oups sorry

I pre ordered at play.com, shopto.net and gameshark(madcatz uk). As soon as I got one at madcatz, I cancelled my play.com order. Got 2 ps3 tourny sticks and the ps3 ryu fightpad coming. I’m trying to find the ps3 akuma fightpad, but can’t seem to find it anywhere.

I think I’ll actually mail him thanking their team for concentrating on a quality product, instead of a few cheesy gimmicks.

This was never a “collectors edition” stick. I think that’s where you got confused. It’s a “tournament edition” stick, meant to be of the highest quality, and actually used by players. You keep making the assumption it’s for collectors, when it’s actually meant for gamers. If the loss of a few gimmicky cards will make you sell your TE to someone who will actually use it, more power to them.

Lol

Can you tell me what’s written?
Thanks.

Well it looks like I won’t be getting one of these. I’ve just spent the past 2 hours browsing around, trying to find websites that are taking preorders and there’s nothing. Well, aside from VGC but I’m not willing to pay around $100 USD in shipping, that’s just crazy (and inadvertently, their hidden markup price).

I’m pretty disappointed, actually. There should have been some sort of MadCatz distributor for Aus/NZ. We get ignored once again, just like all the fucking time.

You’ll probably start seeing some pop up in the trading outlet. So keep an eye out when they get released.

Ouch
Anyway, still not having ANY info about EU release other than “sticks will be available” is kinda annoying.
I’m happy i ordered at lizardlick, at least i’ll be sure to get one.

just my opinion.
Ok guys, I am out. It’s a lost cause.

I have to disagree with Gain.
Ex. It’s like preordering SFIV CE and not getting the udon/prima hint book, but the reg. version gets it.

I love the TE stick. But my appreciation to the ppl. who helped make the TE happen, goes without saying, since I am already slapping down $50 on a TE preorder when infact not all of the details/specifications about the TE stick have even been released, prior to CES. Now that’s what I would call straight TRUST and like I said, goes without saying, APPRECIATION. I’m a picky guy, but I just want what I pay for and that means not lacking anything in a Limited TE Stick, esp. when a regular lower tiered version will include something a LIMITED product will not. It’s just plain and simple…It is called principles.

Madcatz… (why make something else limited on a regular, when it only makes sense and ethical to keep it into an already limited product? or include it in both versions…or send them out at a later time, since time constraints according to MarkMan, were causing problems…)

Give us TE buyers those Character Cards as well!
I will indeed be contacting MadCatz sometime today.

Be well folks…play some SFHD. =)

P.s. I preordered 2 x TE’s and 1 x Fightpad on December 12, '08

Actually, I’ll just copy/paste this post and Fwd: to MadCatz

Okay… I spent over an hour looking for the answer to this, so sorry if it’s been answered already, but this thread is just too big to troll through the WHOLE THING

I want to modify the TE sticks that I’ve ordered to be as close to my nostalgic SF gaming experiences, which were on Happ Perfect 360’s.

I know Happ parts won’t fit in this… but which exact parts shoudl I order from lizard lick to

a) make the ball a bat
and
b) make the square restrictor plate a circular one (or octagonal).

I know I can do it… I just don’t know the exact parts… could someone help me out?

Markman?

Do I have to modify my batsignal to shine MARKMAN across the gotham city sky? If thats the case… can someone tell me the exact restrictor plate I have to get for my batsignal to change it to a marksignal?

thanks in advance.

well, first, the analogy between the CE of the game and the TE version of the stick fails because, while the CE is the game PLUS bonuses, the regular stick and the Tournament stick are TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ITEMS.

A better analogy would be a regular casual play baseball bat coming with baseball cards, and then a more expensive professional bat that doesn’t. just because they are made by the same company, does that mean that the company should package baseball cards with all of its products, or at least all baseball bats that cost more than the lesser quality casual baseball bat?

~

second, i’m not saying i wouldn’t want to see the cards come with the sticks. that would be great.

My issue is with people saying they are “disappointed” and getting upset and angry at MadCatz for not including character cards.

WHAT?!

if the character cards are REALLY going to make a difference to you, then i’m afraid you’re losing focus of what is really important and great about Madcatz/all those behind the scenes getting this product out.

EDIT: another good analogy would be comparing a Toyota Corolla to a Toyota Camry. So, Corolla : Camry ::Reg. Stick : TE Stick… shrug.

purchase the sanwa Joystick Adapter

and Sanwa GT-Y Octagonal Restrictor Plate

and Sanwa LB-30-N Joystick Bat Top

it will work on TE since its a JLF stick

So how many people that don’t live in France ordered a TE stick from Amazon.fr?
They say that “Certaines consoles de jeux vido de salon et accessoires volumineux ne sont expdis qu’en France mtropolitaine et Monaco”.

What is this all about? Can anyone e-mail them and ask them if they ship to all countries within the E.U. or something?
My french suck for sure >_<.
