Just noticed that the Plot guide has been updated in mid 2006, but that some of the stuff in this thread is still missing (about Bob, Chun’s dad etc - some of the stuff that we know isn’t true might be good to include just for the record)
^ and he’s from “Jamaican Music Promotions”.
More stuff- Writing in SF1 suggests that Gen’s stage might be Siu Wah Bldg, Hong Kong Island. It might help if somebody can go to vgmuseum.com and read the red and yellow text.
An obvious one for Metro City being New York: The Final Fight map includes “Atlantic Ocean”!
If STHDR can be considered canon, you could mention that Dhalsim’s stage is now Agra, Uttar Pradesh (some 400-500 km away!.
If Akuma’s island were real, it would be in or near the Mariana group. Type this into Google maps:
16.6,145.6
Just look around to the south. They are close-ish to Japan, and where it looks as though they should be in the more detailed A2 map. They are also volcanic, which ties in with the “Jail Flame”.
SFIV stuff
Well, SFIV-Akuma and Seth don’t appear to have flags unlike everybody else (well, they do, but they are made up). The “Secret Laboratory” for Seth looks to be in the Bermuda Islands on the map.
For the sake of being the first to list them, we have:
[]Drive In - Maybe one of the Carolinas?
[]Crowded Downtown (+night) - Eastern China, near Beijing
[]Snowy Rail Yard - top middle of Russia, most likely Norilsk
[]Island Jungle (+night) - NE Brazil, or could even be Gayana (dismissed in OST)
[]Small Airfield - right in middle of Africa, probably Nigeria or Cameroon
[]Beautiful Bay (+misty) - Looks like Vietnam (confirmed in OST)
[]Old Temple (+deserted) - southern Japan? Somewhere near Wakayama
[]Cruise Ship Stern - in the Med. Could be near Corsica
[]Historic Distillery - Scotland, quite far up
[]Secret Lab - Bermuda?
[]Overpass - Southern Japan, possibly near Hiroshima (Tokyo in OST)
[]Volcanic Rim - looks like Hawaii
Oh, and we still don’t have C. Jack, Pullum Shadowgeist and Area’s locations…
Other details for the FAQ: Guile is still a Major in SFIV. Oh, and in SF2HD his stage says Gate 38.
Tiamat: one more thing: Shadaloo is now the official spelling, so you have at least 89 occurrences of incorrect variants… I’d leave in at least one of every version, for search engine typo purposes, but otherwise they can be removed.
Then again, with all this new SF IV stuff, you probably have more than enough to put in at the moment…
Vasili10’s in charge of the SF Plot Guide now, not Tiamat. Tiamat handed it off to vasili10 about a year ago because Tiamat felt he took it as far as a person who can not read official Japanese sources could.
