whats up with Flash nowadays? Really, Boxer cant compete with top players anymore?
Flash has been the same lately, but it seems like he’s been trying to be a bit more creative lately which hasn’t done him really all that well and his style has been getting a bit predictable when he’s not trying anything creative. Still a highly solid player though.
As for Boxer, he’s been basically playing Starcraft casually for 2 1/2 years, but come January he’ll be back at SK T1 and practicing like a progamer again. We can only hope Boxer makes a comeback, I’m sure everyone missed him.
I want to get into starcraft. is it too late?
I wouldn’t say so, been playing ( or least trying to) on iccup every night and even though I’m still pretty terrible I’m getting better slowly. Just check out iccup if you want to get into it though their servers are down right now.
Don’t really ever see a Terran go mech vs Zerg and win but damn Flash is a beast.
If you want to play like 1v1 pseudo-competitively and improve mostly on your own it is probably easier than ever. Just go dl the iccup launcher and downgrade your BW so you can log on and play:]
however the social player base on East and particularly West have been on the decline lately imo. Not a great time to try to find a group of people to play for fun with
Seems like half the TvZ matches coming out recently have Terran’s making a proxy barracks into bunker rush, then switching to vultures.
holy shit, i didnt realize there was a pro starcraft thread on here. who here honestly thinks sAviOr is gonna make a comeback in 2009? just by going on his latest games, i dont think so. the map imbalances havent helped any, but even zerg players like Jaedong are looking phenominal still. they need to update and bring python back into the map pool.
I can’t see Savior ever being on top again…doesn’t have the passion anymore. Jaedong on the other hand…beastly with the queen ensnare.
sAviOr did win at blizzcon. but thats just an exhibition tourny at best. and he has been winning matches, just against no name players. in his match against tester, he frigging forgot to get the adrenal gland upgrade for his lings. shit like that is gonna make him look like a fool. but if he can tighten his macro and micro a touch, and not do stupid builds that repeatedly fail, he might have a chance.
i’d be amazed if he made a big splash in 09’. Outside of his statements at Blizzcon he hasn’t seemed very passionate about the game in more then a year.If he ever managed to beat Firebathero that would help him a lot though.
I don’t think he even wants to play FBH anymore. 
everyone likes having a rival. it just gets your more fired up to win. if savior ever punches FBH in the face, i totally understand though. if he ever were to beat FBH in a match, it would be a true sign of him trying to be a force to be reckoned with. even jaedong has problems beating FBH.
Rivalry only bring out the best in people, but FBH and Savior are not rivals. It just FBH bending Savior over and fucking him up the ass. I don’t Savior can actually even throw a decent punch. You know Korean pro gamers can’t fight. :looney:
Yeah with a rivalry it goes back and forth or is at least close. Savior should just 5 pool every game until he eventually wins.

I haven’t actually watch a SC match in a while just read random forums to see who is doing well, and who is playing like shit etc… but this is a must watch tonight. :wgrin:

download iccup launcher. Launch your game through that and play on the abyss server. If other people do the same, when they join, you will get a message that their antihacker is ON.
Man the Flash vs Bisu games on GOM were sooooooooo good. Flash seemed just a little sloppy whereas Bisu was pretty much perfect and the games totally represented that.
The Mind v Pretty Free games however… worst day at gom ever. Felt like a random proleague game instead of a round of 8.
Flash vs Bisu should of been finals IMO.
Mind vs Pretty, who won? I watched only the first game, I thought it was kind of boring.
