Actually it’s something much simpler. Since the SCV’s hitboxes while it’s building allow it to easily overlap other units, Bisu simply sat in a spot that the SCV MIGHT stop at while building the barracks and issued a move command and got through when the SCV moved over on top of the probe. It was mostly luck that allowed Bisu to take advantage since the SCV could easily not have moved there in the first place. I thought it was really clever what Bisu did to be honest and I don’t see why people got so upset about it. It’s a glitch yes, but to me it’s just another con towards the way SCVs are forced to stay with what they’re building.
If he set the probe to attack it would have moved around, but if you watch the video carefully, it looks like Bisu just went and held position beside the Barracks and waited until the SCV fully covered the probe and started moving it. It’s the same thing that happens at the beginning when you send all 4 of your gatherers to a single mineral patch at the start of a game. If you try to select one and move it to another patch sometimes the pathing screws up and the gatherer floats through the mineral patch wasting valuable time at the start.

I just came across this thread. I’m hoping to get back into SC before SC2 comes out. Is there any page I should read (of this thread) for some tips? I’ll try skimming it after work, but was just curious. I’m a CS1.6 player (of course, I’ve played SC in the past), and gave up on learning WC3 a while back, but would like to try SC again. Anyone willing to run me through things rather than just play and smash me?
This thread is more about discussion of the Pro tournaments and the “scrubcracft” Shoryuken tournaments.
If you are looking for how to get better, I’d say Teamliquid.net is the best place to start.
I don’t get off on watching other people play games, so I guess I’m in the wrong place. Teamliquid is full of assholes, so I generally avoid that place. Any other ideas?

is there any particular reason a lot of yall have different naems on here, aim, and battle.net? It can get pretty confusing. I really have no idea who any of the people on my starcraft aim list are besides Chaotic Blue lol.
