I think stork made a big mistake going carriers again on katrina game 4, after getting owned the first game on the same map. He had an early advantage too I forgot when, but after losing game 4, you knew flash had too much momentum going into 5.
With Flash’ rise to dominance, its understandable that some people here are concerned about Terran overpowering.
Its not just Terran**, its how Flash is playing the race differently. Starcraft is all about matchups, and Flash has been able to counter the latest anti-Terran strategies of Zerg (Jaedong) and Protoss (Stork/Bisu).
Teamliquid has two very good articles on the OSL quarterfinal vs. Bisu and the GSI preview vs. Stork. It provides some very good insight on the matchup and how Flash is changing Terran vs. Protoss play.

I’ve never watched high level competitive starcraft before, but I really enjoyed watching this tournament with the english commentary! Great finals set definitely, great tournament.
Yeah I unfortunately fell asleep last night and missed the live stuff… but I just watched all the VODs.
AWESOME GAMES!! I was worried about Flash during game 3, but he didn’t let me down. I was worried about him on his games vs anytime but he didn’t let me down then either. Guess I shouldn’t doubt him lol. Both players played great though, and it went 5 games without cheese so I guess ya can’t ask for much more.
I was slightly disappointed to see the same strategies for 5 straight games (except the game where stork went all ground + arbs). But I guess that’s just how the matchup goes.
As somebody else mentioned, it’s not that Flash had a completely concrete strat each time, that a surprise toss ground army could have defeated in game 4or5. In nearly every game, Flash had a tremendous intel advantage. Luck or not, he almost always scanned Stork in all the right places at all the right times. He knew when the drops were coming, when the stargates were being made, etc. It was tough for Stork to catch Flash off-guard.
Anyhoo, exciting stuff. Need more english announced tourneys NOWNOWNOWNOW. Hopefully the ball is rolling.

I’m tempted to join but I haven’t played in years, and when I did play it was always 2v2 or 3v3 big game hunters lol.
Yeah I definately won’t be participating. Like evilj, I haven’t played in quite some time and even when I did it wasn’t “legit” style.
If you need any sort of help orchestrating it though Tantin, I might could be of service in that department. Although I’m not sure what I could do there either heh. I wish I could keep up with a fast paced 1v1 well enough to commentate it. :sad: Not to mention since I am not well-experienced in that style of gameplay, I wouldn’t really know where to be in the right place at the right time to commentate on all the action.
