Hey man I appreciate that. If I’m wrong I don’t have a problem with it. I still feel Yun needs a few LIGHT nerfs, instead of the crazy stuff some people are saying. But to be honest I’m more concerned for Yang. I feel he’s gonna end up getting nerfed unjustifiably just because he’s related to Yun.
If you think Yun needs nerfs, Yang needs nerfs.
He’s in the same tier, and he’s only going to get better over time when people learn to play him better especially in America where our Yang technology is behind by a fair amount at the moment.
There is a reason that some people think Yang is the better twin.

I use fuerte and Personally I feel more threatened when fighting Yang then Yun. A bud swears Yang beats Yun. Besides palm I don’t have much of an opinion on Yang though.
Can i just say i find it really amusing that your complaint about the shoulder is based entirely on the argument that you don’t think it looks right, and can i suggest a balance change of altering his shoulder animation so that he also extends his arms out as a palm attack in the other direction, because apparently that would resolve your problems with the move.

lets break this down.
we have low tier chars which have moves that seem like it would hit from all around you because their animation would make you beleive that what the person is doing can hit you from multiple directions. but their moves don’t. and yun has a move that looks like it should hit you from the side he uses to hit you with both sides somehow and your saying, instead of making the other chars who’s moves should hit you from both sides, we should instead change the animation of yuns move so that it makes sense why his hits from both sides and leave everyone elses.

Hundred hand slap: Short range, technically not armor break but in practice 2 hits are fast enough it basically is armor break.
Gen’s version of hundred hand slap.
EX Lightning kicks
EX Yoga flame
All of Viper’s mid air burn kicks (ground ones are not + on block however.)
Cammy’s Spin Knuckle (So far only move that can be used to travel across the screen that is + on block. Also breaks armor like Yun’s lunge punch. Flipside? Very very slow moving, no active hitbox during the movement.)
Yang’s Palms.

E. Ryu’s HK Axe kick (moves you forward, but no active hitbox until forward movement has stopped.)

You’re right, lots of characters have special moves that + on block. Except most of them are either projectiles, or short range attacks. The two other moves that have + on block while moving you forward are slower, and are only active at the very end of their forward movement, not the entire duration. Also you can’t combo INTO HK Axe kick or Spin Knuckle (You can combo AFTER but not before.
A fair number of other examples from other people (some in other threads.) about how Yun is balanced because his DP can’t be FADC’d or how he doesn’t have a matchup in his favor against Sagat. And the occasional random troll about how "Yun is auto pilot"

I would be ok with Yun if:
EX lunge is more easily whiff punishable with nj attacks. I end up trading/losing half the time.
Palm doesn’t act like a damn anti air.
Meter gain on palm.
Yea thats pretty much it.
I think these discussions will be more useful once people realise that a character being good at something, or being able to do something that other characters can’t do, is a sign of good character design, not a sign of a balance problem.
having super easy meter gain by whiffing a safe move is good character design?
being able to hit someone with both sides of your body when you attack with only one side is good character design in contrast to chars that should hit you with both sides of their moves but don’t.
being able to use a move that gets you in close for 1 bar, can juggle into ultra, is airborn so can’t be hit low, pushes into the corner and gives YOU the frame advantage when you fail and it gets blocked is good character design?

I can understand that it might be difficult to input your ultra in time to hit yun out of it, but pushing back to block?? Seriously??? I guess Fei long players can just rekka you for free all day.
Fei only needs the damage he gets off hk.cw and ex.cw lowering, they could just increase cl.hp to 5 frames, lower hk.cw damage to 120 and give his fks the Ryu treatment. Complaining that he gets you in the corner is retarded, that’s his entire character.
nerf yun because my character dosent have moves like his. ex lunge should be negative on block because my piece of shit character has an ex move that isnt safe on block. nerf yuns shoulder because it looks like guys shoulder but its better. lets make all the moves work the way they look. thats right cammys U2 should be a kill at any point. it is a neckbreaker
nerf fei because i dont like seeing fuudo win all the tourneys, and i shouldnt have to learn the matchup. the only reason i lose any matches ever is because the top 3 are broken. nerf yang because he is the same as yun. nerf viper because i dont know how to block, and 50/50 mixups suck
