I main Yun, and I know for a fact that he’s not a character that you can auto-pilot. You have to be cautious of every divekick you throw. Otherwise, it’ll easily get dped the moment you start your strings. Yun has a tough time getting in with projectile users. Even when you are palming for meter, you have to be cautious of a jump in or a potential chance to lose HP. I personally agree that Yun needs some nerfs or tweaks (unless the majority of the lower cast can be buffed significantly), however he shouldn’t be destroyed as a character. I also think that Yang is ABSOLUTELY FINE and should not be nerfed at all.

This was the same with TKCS, yet people still cried about it. >_>

Yeah. People always typically whin about everything. The friggen’ thing I’m trying to emphasis is that I WELCOME nerfs, but I don’t welcome things that would ruin Yun as a character.

No, I’m still a scrub. I’ve gotten to the point where I can learn a character’s bnbs, tactics, and just about anything hands down. However, my mindgames and experience in dealing with certain situations is really horrible. I can apply mixups, but I can’t deal with other mixups. There’s just about no competition in my area, and as we know, online is still horrible (with the exception of Japan). I’ve got a long way to go before I can consider myself remotely decent.

i think he should get meter building significantly reduced on his palm and the active frames to match up with the animation.

yeah, and the vanilla cammy forums said that TKCS should have been an overhead, ryu forums said ryu’s (5 frame!) sweep should be special cancellable, balrog forums saying overhead should be twice as fast and safe on block, etc. people ask for the dumbest shit. thank god none of them got their way in the transition to super.

anyways one of the biggest problems with yun / yang is that they have beefy defensive options in addition to their strong, safe offense. why does yun even have an invincible, meterless DP in the first place when he can pressure half the cast for free? why does yang need a four way mixup on wakeup (dp, backdash, ex teleport, block) when characters with 1/3 the offensive tools just have to block everything he does?

You want a high tier character to get a buff and no nerfs to trade? How does that make sense? Akuma is OP he doesn’t deserve any buffs. If you want a buff at least offer a nerf to balance it out.

goddamn bums. stop using terms that you dont know the meaning of. it dosent make you look cool, or fit in.

  1. hitbox ? ok… meter gain ? ok… damage ? no since its not a problem I would reduced the active frames on them palms tho (Both of yun and yang)
  2. his dive kick is 0 on block, comes out WAY slower than yun’s. if you cannot find a normal to stop his dive kick then that’s your lost. the hittable box of yang is huge and easily predicted if you block it, you 2 are at even chances if you use a normal as AA he loses and if you get hit that’s your fault.
  3. its a glitch it will get fixed
  4. ex command throw with invincibility is ok but they could reduced A BIT the range (I think the ex command throw of fei long is fine…it could be just a tad bigger…)
  5. standing lp is perfect the way it is: combo starter, can be used from a safe distance, I dont see the difference from chun li’s / sakura’s / ken st.lp
  6. vanilla sagat’s st.lk was GREAT but not op so I dont see how it can be op for yang specially since you can link it to 1 move

from my point of view (as a Rose player) a character doesnt need the tool, an answer for everything otherwise everyone would be have a 5-5 match up (or slightly different because of some movesets)

What can they do with Rose ? for now all of her stuff is always half complete:
1- She has no real reversal but Capcom DID gave her EX soul spiral. But why give 11 invincibility frames instead of 13 ? (aka why not trough the whole startup ?) that’s the 1st thing they should really fix
2- Aside from reflecting fireballs, she cant use her other reflects vs non-fireball characters. Why not improve the hitbox of her HP reflect to make a viable AA and also make the characters fly less away so that she can catch them up without a FADC with soul throw. This will probably will give her a meterless U2 setup but I dont see the problem since U2’s damage sucks.
3- the only problem with u2 was that she could block in super after the activation, why nerfed the hitbox and startup of it ? just revert it back to 5 frames so she can have at least ONE fadc combo and put the hitbox back like they were.
4- She has a soul throw with no invincibilty and can easily be beaten by attacks that comes out 1st. they could be decreased in startup frames imo
5- I dont see why she got a meter gain nerf. Give it back.
6- She had a godlike sweep back in vanilla. I dont see why it was nerfed since its not a tool she can abuse. If the person gets knockdown, she doesnt have crazy mixups like viper or akuma so bringing it back to -3 on block would be a good thing imo
7- another move that people (or a lot of rose players) dont use is the soul piede. This move is probably one of those moves that you will only use in certain match ups to stop opponents like zangief from jumping on you after doing a soul spark. The hitbox should be back the way it was before
8- U1 should have a quicker startup too imo (9 frame startup maybe ?)

With these things, she still has some flaws. She’s still in a bad situation when people score a hard knockdown on her, it doesnt change her identity or anything like that but I think with these she could be a competitive character without being top-tier or anything.

I’ve always wanted a separate volume control to “nerf” the announcer… He’s annoying as all fuck.
