you can leave it int he config that it is assembled. i have added a male pin header to mine as well.
i walked purple arms through my config. here is a simple drawing for the setup
Just solder male pins on the right side (where teeth has his female header soldered) then you wont need to solder wires anywhere…
For some of my friends sticks that i’m installing this into, i’m going to add a neturik pass through port to their TEs, then install usb bub inside the joystick, so all they need to do is plug usb cable to the case to program sparky pwm…
That sounds ingenious. Post pictures when you get it set up
Hmmm… just thought of an adapter design idea to make sparky 95% PnP with ps3 TE sticks (and also for 360 TE sticks that do not have Teasy Strike)… time to design a prototype…
you mean a giant PCB that just plugs over top of the buttons? or one that sits on the QD panel for all the buttons.
updates look great!
A board that intercepts the plug from the TE pcb (360 or ps3) to the QD terminal, then break that out to a 20 pin header compatible with sparky pwm… that terminal provides access to the 8 face buttons and ground… the only thing left is power, which i can provide a screw terminal or jumper pin to connect to this board, but the other end will need to be soldered to the little circuit board just below the turbo panel…
so 1 wire to solder for anyone who has ps3 TE, or a 360 TE (without need for a Teasy Strike)
dude this sounds exactly like something i would need. I liked the fact that the Teasy Strike is for dual modding but the only reason i was going to get it was so that i could hook up the Sparky jr pwm to it without soldering anything. if this new idea of yours is less expensive then im pretty sure i would be your first customer. cant wait to see some pics.
phreakazoid can make a teasy trike with no dualstrike chip too, which would mean no soldering to get power… but that works on 360 only… ok i’ll get to work on a prototype and see what i can do to get some in by the time arceye2 is available…
well thats what i have is a 360 TE. well i guess if your new project comes out when arc eye 2 does and is cheaper i will probably end up getting that but if arc eye 2 comes out by itself then Teasy it is.
I would be interested in this too as I just want to use Teasy Strike for ArcEye2 and would appreciate the price drop!
Heres a quick prototype that i sent to the factory for an adapter board for PS3 TE stick owners, and 360 TE-S owners who dont want a dual mod…

Will this only work with TE-S sticks or can I use this on a ROUND 1?
Also, can I use this on my HORI VLX?
lol @ sjc strike name running out of ssf4 terms soon lol. but in all serious purps, you have been an innovation machine recently, keep it up bro!
This prototype is made specifically for ps3 TE and 360 TE-S. TE sticks (including round 1) have a slightly different pin header config (in TE-S sticks they added a “kill ground” so that the lock switch in the turbo panel also disables start and select)… and I don’t have a TE stick to do measurements, but its definitely under consideartion…
I don’t have a hori vlx either, or seen the inside of one, so we cant quite support that at the moment…
lol… i might have to start dipping into mvc3 or mk9 terminology
Yeah, new feature request response!!!
We have had a few people asking for extra functionality into the Sparky controller.
Based on some of the feedback, we found that although absolutely positive, people wanted the ability to color each single button independently rather than the current one color for all single punches, and one color for all single kicks
so, here we are.
you can now independently set your color for each single punch, and kick. yep, thats 6 more color themes you get to pick…
…more to come.

if you want to mess around with the code. you can grab it from the beta folder of the svn. polite reminder… …its in the BETA folder. Also, the configurator has not yet been adapted for the new needs.
Baller.
siiiiiiiiick
Can’t wait to build up my showcase stick
Ordered! Now I just need some arceye 2.0’s.
