On Links its mostly the fact that he is like mid tier character but has a shitty recovery is why he is so low. The boomerang is amazing, but for moves I would stick with his down smash for kills, his boomerang(pull in)+fsmash is nice combo, and up smash for anti air, but otherwise his AAA,f-tilt, neutral air, back air, are his safe moves, that should be used to rack up dmg. Plus blocking a attack by doing nothing then just attacking out of the auto block is hilarious.
no link f-tilt and forward B into grab or up smash is pretty stupid(he can do plenty of other things too), play against better Links. Plus his back air and f-air have tons of mixups and the fact that he has that neutral air kick gives him a great near instant high priority move, but yeah he sucks(still keep him near the bottom), I still don’t get yoshi on the offensive he is pretty decent, but his defensive is just so terrible.

This is my opinion on it if both players are playing seriously link is better than cpt. falcon, but if you arn’t playing seriously cpt. falcon can take out a stock before you can blink.
The SBR Tier list is based off various aspects of the game, such as “combo” potential, techs, along with various other things. But the main reason C. Falcon is so low, is it complete lack of priority. If Ike’s jab hit’s Falon’s PAWWNCH at the same time, they cancel each other out.
Falcon is the worse character no doubt. If you’re really good at playing with your opponent’s head with him you can manage a few wins, but people will remember Falcon’s priority sucks so much they can pretty much get away with just jabbing and doing higher priority moves.
I don’t believe Bowser if above all those guys… How are Ness and Lucas so low on the list?
I do believe there are not horrendous characters in brawl. I’ve seen all of them hold their ground pretty well against everyone.
I suggest you watch this thread with the best from each character. You will see all of them have a lot of potential. For 39 characters, this is a pretty balanced game. Worth some respect.
Also, I want to add that in All-Brawl play, all fast characters become more powerful. Why?
Heavy Characters:
Advantages:
- They don’t die that easily with item’s knockback.
Disadvantages:
- They are often bigger and easier to hit.
- They are slow and have a difficult time avoiding items and empowered characters (starman, final smashes, etc).
- They are slow and have a hard time running for an item that can help them win.
Light Characters:
Advantages:
- They are fast and can run away from danger much more easily.
- They are often smaller and not so easy to hit. Also they have more agility to avoid being hit. As they move thru the stage more quickly, they are harder to target for a thrown item.
- As they are fast, they can run for a tomato, star, deku nut, etc and have great advantage over slower characters.
Disadvantages:
- They are lighter and they often die easily by an item knockback.
Am I missing something? Based on this, every fast character (Sonic, Fox, Sheik, Zamus) they all go up on the tier list. It’s a shame Metaknight benefits from all of this too.
Sonic can be low tier all he wants Lobelia…It doesn’t matter as much to me anymore even if I still feel he’s at least lower middle tier. As long as I can still beat people’s ass with him then I’m a happy guy.
I’m sure Samus has lots of fun trying to take out the hedgehog anyway

But just fyi, the Samus/Sonic matchup was in Samus’s favor last I checked. It’d probably be otherwise, but Samus isn’t exactly the easiest character in Brawl to approach.
