Hmm, well I don’t take the bart much, so I don’t know, but there is a muni metro stop right in front of State. Maybe you can transfer from the bart to the muni somehow. Try searching on their site for the map.
You can take bart to Balboa Park Station. From there take the M Ocean View Inbound line (Muni Metro Train, it’s best to ask someone there where the stop is at because it isn’t inside the station) and get off at 19th Ave & Holloway Ave (SFSU).
Take BART to Daily City, then take the free shuttle or the 28, which is also free as long as you pick up a transfer.
You can take bart to the glen park bart station then take the 23, get off at 19th ave, then take 28 or get off junipero serra and take the M. Both stop in front of sfsu.
If you get off at Glen Park station, I think it’s best to take the 26 since it goes straight to SFSU. It’s also the last stop.
