Official PSVita/PSP chat thread

I never upgrade right away when they release new firmwares. The highest firmware game that I’ve encountered was that Castlevania required 3.4… other than that…

CFWs already have it; All you have to do is to use PSX2PSP or another program to convert the disc images of your PSX games to PBP format, and then copy the folder to PSP/GAME/.

Wow I did not no u can play ps1 games on this shit!!!

Metal gear solid 1 on the go!!! I loved my DS and still do but damn psp with emus is broken!!!

Can’t wait for my battery to come in the mail!

Wow, I…I can’t believe I’m playing XvSF…on my PSP…wow…and it’s flawless…

I need a minute…

Hmm, I may just get into this emulation stuff after all. PSX games on my PSP is tempting.

Yeah, it’s pretty astounding; since it’s an official emulator, there are no graphics issues, lag, or buggy sound. 100% flawless:tup:

Wow, this is frustrating; I’m dumping my copy of FF7, but for some reason, every .iso I make won’t work. It doesn’t make any sense, considering this is an easy process.
It converts fine in PSXtoPSP, but to no avail, blank screen everytime.

Well I am now a owner of a slim PSP. Would like to load up a CFW, but I don’t have a fat PSP at my disposal to help with that. Been playing Lumines II and about to start up on FFT and Castlevania soon.

Same problem I had earlier. And I still have it :-(. In the mean time, I’d look up torrents of games you want with “PSP” in the search term. For example, “Final Fantasy VII PSP”. There are a few torrents out there with games already formatted for the PSP that you can just add to your GAME folder.

Does it say ‘The game could not be started’? Do you get an icon in the XMB that says what game you’re playing? Also the game should convert to a .pbp file, not .iso…

I’m thinking its like me and after it has that disclaimer screen about “Playstation games may run differently on PSP” or whatever, its just a blank screen and the only thing you can go back to the XMB.

Do you have a keys.bin file in the same folder as the eboot? That’s the only thing I can think of right now…

What region disc are you using? Yeah you need KEYS.BIN and BASE.PBP…

Go to your system settings and go to system info. Check to see what firmware you’re running. If it says 3.71 M33-4 then you’re all good, but if it says 3.71 M33 you need to go to www.dark-alex.org, go to 3.71 M33 and download “M33-4.”

Does this problem happens only with FFVII, or with every PSX game that you try to put in your PSP?

if you have a friend with a moded PSP you can prepare a Pandora Battery & Memory stick, and mod away my friend as many PSP as you want either fat or SLIM I done this to many PSPs:wink:

^Lol, too bad you don’t live by me, want to get into this CFW action, but no access to a modded PSP and I don’t trust myself opening up mine

3.80 m33 5 sucks, i can’t seem to get cwcheat to work. had to downgrade back to 3.71m33 2.

Okay, so if I hack my slim, I can get a PS emulator and play ps1 games on this?

yep, all you have to do is put the eboot into your game folder. load it up and your good to go. the games run smooth with no lag at all.
