You can’t do it to a slim battery though. Don’t you already have a modded fat PSP to make the pandora battery?
Me buying a Slim (I already have a working PSP!) and making a no-PSP Pandora battery (I already have a Fat PSP!) would just be for hobby purposes… I just like screwing with PSP homebrew/hacks.
So when you play original Rondo of Blood you get this retarded mini-screen. Which is understandable considering they can’t play that in wide screen format… buuut if that’s the case for Symphony Of the Night, I’ll be really pissed =(

Ran into the fucking Vista problem, couldn’t get it to work on another computer
Went to a friend’s place. SPENT 6 FUCKING hours trying to do it. I had to constantly backtrack, google, youtube shit trying to figure out what was what. Don’t get me wrong, I follow instructions well. but the problem was that info was contantly not included leaving me to try and find it. It was just a shitload of backtracking and googling for the correct or specific info that was needed
I swear, that shit got me so fucking depressed that I lost time and money and all this shit and I have to return the PSP and still haven’t modded my slim
If ANYONE knows exactly what to and where I can find exactly what I need to download I would be so greatful. I just have to wait to buy a PSP again with hopefully the right FW.

Try using craigslist to find someone in your area that would do it for you. That’s what I’m planning once I get my 8gig.
a lot of good games coming out like disgaea, silent hill, castlevania, syphon filter logan shadow, and FF tactics. my wallet’s gonna be broke. yeah i can put these games in my memory stick and play but i support good games.
I can’t find the site I went to before, but if no one gives you the info by the time I get home from work, I’ll find the site and post it up. If you can do the mspformat part with no problem, you should be good to go. Its all downhill from there.
ok. I just need to know what FW the fatty needs to be at, how to get it there. and what exactly I need to do to Mod my 3.71slim. I don’t need to unbrick anything. Thanks in advance though.

I think as long as the fat PSP can run homebrew, you should be fine. You have to run one or two programs from the fat PSP to get the battery changed. Along with the “Magic Memory Stick”/Jigstick that you make, you just put the memory stick in your PSP slim and insert the battery. It’ll turn on by itself and give you the option to install either Sony’s 3.71 or 3.71 M33. The pandora battery by default is an unbricker as well, but you need it to install the firmware.
I’ve actually gotten to that point many different ways. made several different kinds of magic sticks and the magic battery. but again I ran into a bunch of different problems at all possible steps along the way (not literally, but just about)
Also I thought (reading Taito’s info on first page) that you couldn’t go directly to 3.71 M33, that you had to start from somwhere else and then upgrade. Also, everytime you upgrade the CFW do you need the whole magic stick+battery combo? ugh
No, the Pandora Battery will automatically let you go to 3.71 M33 from any firmware, and also serves as an unbricker. Its the ultimate PSP hack.
As far as upgrading, you should be able to upgrade to any new custom firmware easily as long as you have CFW already installed on your PSP. You won’t have to do the battery/Magic stick combo every time.
So I tried to upgrade from 3.10 OE to the latest 3.52 M33 last night. Not knowing that I had to have a memory stick bigger than the stock 32MB to hold the new firmware and whatnot, I couldn’t really do anything, and somehow mid-way of trying to flash, it froze. Upon restarting, I can’t press Right on the DPad without it bringing up the Sony Blue Screen of Death. This a brick or a semi-brick? Either way, I’m probably going to need to redo the firmware via a Pandora battery, correct?

my friend gave me his psp to “de-hack” by taking out the 3.52m33-4 cutsom fw so that he could trade it in for a slim. i tried to upgrade to 3.71 but i get an error saying
game could not be started error DADADADA".
so i tried to make a recovery folder inside GAME>RECOVERY>eboot.pbp (1.50 eboot) and that didnt work out either. i’d execute the eboot through recovery but the screen goes blank, reads the stick then shuts off.
i have no problem hacking psps but when it comes to official updates, i dont know shit.
