I came in here to read up and see how people were enjoying their handheld and see some unhappy posts. Are the load times really that bad for every game regardless of whether it’s dled onto the card or on flash cart?
The system seems to be selling decently on a world wide scale so far. I want to see the NPD numbers when they get released.
I owned a PS1, I can deal with some loading screens. I do find it odd that there’s so much loading on a flash memory based system.
I just tried the Unit 13 demo. That shits pretty cool. Anyone else fucked with that Welcome Park shit? I screwed with it earlier and got some trophies. I sent random people that I found on Near messages. 3 responded so I sent them a picture of my psp.
I’m loving it, but it ain’t perfect, but is the best handheld out. It has minor problems that you will just have to deal with. Doing combos on fighting games can be murder, because you are using the D-pad, but down on the pad has you close to the left stick and I hit it often. Sticks could easily be 1" lower. It is very easy for the people complaining to return the system, or sell it.
I’ve played UMVC3, BB:CSEX, Uncharted, Wipeout 2048, Lumines, & Super Stardust Delta. Wipeout is the biggest offender with long load times, and I heard it was worse before the patch.
I did Welcome Park when I first got it, did Near this morning. There was 5 people around me, 1 was playing Little Deviants. I think Near is pretty cool, don’t know how much I would use it. I unlocked some song in a game or something, some gift.
This thing NEEDS folders! How did something so basic get left out? Anyone with a beefy memory stick is going to have pages to go through.
So glad you can customize the start screen though.

Did you get it to work, I read it transfers to Vita that is why it was late to the store, they had to fix it. I checked it it is paid, they need to fix that shit. I’m check some other forums, but I’m not thinking I’ll find a solution.
Photo gallery, choose an image you want to use. Tap on the image and a bubble should appear in the lower right corner. You have the option to set the image as your start screen.
I’m using a bunch of wallpapers I found on the net. for my start screen it’s this cool DQ Slime theme. I’ll post pics when I get back from work.

Never got it to work. Apparently Special Edition Mvc3 owners are just plain fucked.
Oh. Ok, thanks! I wish you can choose what portion of the pic you want to use, like with ps3/psp…Now I gotta take some extra time and crop some pics in photoshop :sad:

Yep, did it while playing Reality Fighters demo, accidentally. I don’t think there’s any damage scaling on that game. I seriously need to do a combo vid or something. :lol:
Yeah, I seen that. People that bought the DLC for PS3get it free for Vita, but SE owners who got the characters for free don’t have the option for now. A guy for Capcom Unity said he was looking into it, which means nothing since he probably don’t have a clue on business decisions.
We paid our 10 extra bucks as well. Nothing was free about that Collector’s edition except the aluminum box. Oh, and those lame, pointless movelist sheets.
