- NJ’s CPS emulator is the best. None of the MAME emus work that well. There’s FBA4PSP, you can play a few Cave shooters at full speed. You have to find Final Burn-compatible roms (MAME roms do not work)
Bro there does exist a CPS1 and CPS2 emulator that works at full speed… I could be going too far here but ‘Arcade Perfect’ perhaps…

Most of these websites don’t have the full rom sets… there’ll be shit missing that keeps it from running, or they’ll give you the romset that’s not the parent rom…
You have to convert the CPS2 romsets to cache files using the little program that comes in the CPS2 emu folder…
Latest version of cps2psp = fuck caching, you can run the rom as it is, full speed.
well right now im on ofw 6.20 so what can i use to get anything on there?
From ofw 6.20, you can install cfw. Hell, they recently released a downgrader for Go and 3000 models just for that purpose. I had been trying to downgrade to 6.20 myself so I could use cfw when I found out about the lcfw. From 6.20 you can run HENs, since, from what I understand, your firmware revision can run anything, from homebrew to isos/csos as long as they’re “signed”… Google one HEN by a guy named Total_Noob. It comes highly recommended. Just read the installation procedures carefully and follow them. Of course, I’m on a series 3000 psp. Look around to see if you need to do anything special for your psp model.
thats what ive done. I’ve downgraded to 6.20 from 6.35. I was successful in getting the snesemu and now im grabbing as many games i can lol.
I honestly hope Sony isn’t this fucking stupid. Vita software support would be stillborn.

EDIT: Voice Acting is pretty good too… not excellent but still better than what one expects going into one of these games…
I recommend the following: Dissidia 012 Duodecim, 3rd Birthday, FIFA 12, God of War, Kenka Bancho 3. All great games. Also, 5.00m33-6 is fantastic CFW.
Man I was all into my modded PSP but it’s been so long I’ve forgotten how I did it and what all to do. I should be able to run Persona 3 without having the keep the disc in but can’t be bothered right now to look it up. I just play the image with the disc in the system for faster loading and stuff.
right now i happy with what I have. I have 6.20 PRO-B9 with .iso of GoW:CoO (for some reason all the cut-scenes are removed to make it smaller but im not complaining) and PicoDrive, gpSP, SNES9xTYL. Hopefully I am successful in getting P3P then im done no more games til i get a larger MS.

So how do people feel about the whole Vita memory card ordeal?
I think the ridiculous pricing, and the reason Vita has no internal storage, is related to retailers forcing Sony to mark up PSP Go in exchange for stocking PSP hardware and games. Without the internal storage, Sony can price Vita hardware a little more down to earth, while the cards have the jacked price to satisfy retailers scared of DD competition.
But that doesn’t explain why a lot of retail games will require saves on the storage cards does it. It’s bullshit no matter what.
I’ll probably just buy a 4GB card and store my stuff on PC until there’s a firesale somewhere. Stores in the US will most likely sell bundles with a storage card anyway, so you can still buy the game cards without getting gouged too much.
Honestly I think I’ll wait till the Vita gets hacked and can run old psp games. What they’re doing now is bullshit, and the price of memory is bullshit. I’m not going to pay sony again to let me play games I already own.

I acquired D&D: Throne of Agony, based on a recommendation I got here. Great handheld RPG, goes well with the fact that I’m playing Skyrim currently.
It can run PSP games you already bought from PSN as is, for no extra cost. You can register your UMD games from a PSP to PSN and buy the DD version for a variable rate, probably $5-10.
