If you go through the “backend” link, you can get to all the broken ones.
Also, I’d really like a “mark forums all as read” button… So this one thread doesn’t say that I have 3810421308 unread posts…
It wouldn’t be a problem though if I could unhide that particular forum in the first place, then I could do it… But for now, I can’t do shit, nor can I see most of the actual forums. Dammit, I want an easier way to get to tech talk…
I spoke with some of the admins, and they’ve got a laundry list of stuff that they’re working on getting implemented right now.
Some of these things you should already notice:
– Button to mark spoilers (it’s the black ? in the text box)
– Some emotes ( >.> ^^; and many others I haven’t found yet)
– Quotes now link back to their original post
– IGNORE LISTS! XD
Emoticons are back. Need the srk specific notations tho. Combo threads are a mess. =D>
Fix this horrible unreadable small font size please.
Give me back “more options” / “go advance” to edit long post/review/tech info.

The search option is messed up.

Firstly, the search button on this site doesn’t let you pick which sections you want to search for something.

Secondly, in the older days if I went to Google and I wanted to look for something specific like “Trish Wesker” in order to find some posts about Team Synergy, then I would write “site:shoryuken.com trish wesker” and find specific posts where both characters are mentioned. If I click on a Shoryuken post in Google search results, it takes me to the default forum page.

Would it be possible to do something about that?

How do I set it now so that I automatically receive notifications from threads I post in? I don’t want to have to manually subscribe to every one I post in. Thank you.

That’s a problem with Google, not SRK - they haven’t yet indexed the new forums format, so any search results Google has of the forums are pointing to old links that no longer work.
Actually, thats 100% SRK’s fault. They set up the new forums on a subdomain so none of the old links work or even point to the correct domain. The URL stubs are all different and google cant find them. The forums arent even on the same domain anymore. They could have installed the new software in a subdirectory and used 301 redirects or just backed up the old software and installed it in the /forums/ directory but they probably didnt know how to do all that.
Bolding on my Trade Outlet thread seems to do something funky to the character limit. It’s fine now but if I bold five more letters it says my post exceeds the character count by like 500 characters.
