Blaziken also showed advantages in the sun by Solarbeaming its true counters (e.g Slowbro), fighting to give it neutrality to S/R, DW Blaziken was a beast but Blaze definitely got hosed.
Got dat badge number 6…
Also as fun as this game is, none but a few of the pokemon are very… memorable…
I still remember the first 150, but now, I can’t even remember the ones I have in my starting party…
Also I’m ditching the fuck out of my starter for either this or this…
And I regret getting the grass type starter considering all those damn weaknesses… could’ve picked something way better…
Had to train the fuck out of others to even begin to finish this damn game…
EDIT: My grass starter even got a crappy nature that lowered my Special Atk for increased defense(normal defense?)
Carfogrigus or whatever the fuck he’s called decreases his speed for extra spec. def. but his speed was already shitty anyway… so got a good nature with him…
One that lowers his speed and increases one of his defenses. The lower his speed is, the better he is at taking advantage of Trick Room (Slower Pokemon go first).
Don’t use him for your in-game team. Trust me. I did it, and it wasn’t worth it.
wth they ban pokemon now…?
snivy is plagued by a horrible moveset, but he’s still better than those two. Like I said, I choose Samurott for one thing, Megahorn. Well, that and he’s one of the few water types to get SD. I originally had grass knot on it, but why have that when I can still hit ground/rock types hard with surf. The extra boost in ATK helps, so I have Megahorn, Surf, SD, Revenge. I think I caught the best nature for Cofagrigus at calm, on my first try lol.
I will train a Hydreigon, but I still don’t see what’s so great about him. Dragon/Dark is rather odd typing, not a very good one to me. He doesn’t get Dragon Dance, which downgrades his ability to effectively sweep even more. His only selling point is his base stats and rather good moveset through TMs. Haxrous has the ability to sweep teams better if you ask me.
he’s good ingame, he’s very good against the fighting E4 trainer and makes up for a lot of good pokemon that are glass cannons before post-game. Darmanitan, Excadrill, Galvantula, these are examples of heavy hitting pokemon but can’t take many hits. My Darmanitan is at LV60 and he has yet to gain over 100 defense, and I don’t have a nature reducing that statistic! D:
if anything, don’t use him post-game. Shit gets pretty real post-game and you can throw tanking out of the window.

I’m running this going to be running this one right here(well trying)…
So damn broken its a shame…
Absolutely zero weaknesses due to dat Levitate…
He is getting no abilities from dream world and I see why…
Don’t evolve em until he gets Coil.
Coil+Thunder=rape for free.
agreed 100% I feel like i should even attempt to play the game “competitively” now.
BTW, is “Heat Crash” a good move to learn ingame for Pignite? I don’t want to take away the usefulness of Flame Charge or the beastly Defense Curl x Rollout Combo if it’s not warranted.
This is what happens when you let practically everyone vote. Scrubby kids that don’t know how to beat it vote against it.
finally leveled a bunch of pokemon to 50 for the E4 and dropped them pretty easily. My Zweilous did well for 2 of the trainers since they had Dark weaknesses, but it wasn’t OHKOing much and it’s slow as fuck. I swept one easily with Conkelldurr. The last one was the only one to give me problems. I went in with Sigilyph and thought I’d psychic my way through it, but then I got hit with Stone Edge . oh well, Darmanitan swept through, he is such a fucking beast of a pokemon. Him, Conkelldurr and Excadrill have insane attack stats. I love it.
I had to look it up - I gotta get used to the new moves, heh.
Heat Crash (move) - Bulbapedia, the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia
It’s one of those weight-dependent moves that deal more damage the heavier you are than your opponent. It has the potential to be just as strong as Flare Blitz without the recoil, but could also go as low as 40 base power. Unless you’re really good at remembering the weight of common mons (or have a spreadsheet) I’d just go with Flare Blitz if I had the choice, and Emboar’s kinda bulky so the recoil probably wouldn’t be that big of a deal, but I’m kinda thinking ahead here since I don’t think you learn Blitz until much later.
I’d stick with whatcha got for now since I really like Flame Charge too. It’s a great in-game move for a slow poke like the piggy.
Yeah I kept Flame Charge but I was curious about Heat Crash’s baseline BP for most Pokes, because it might be useful in that regard.
Thanks tho.
Have got to say, I have not been disappointed with the game since I got it for my nephew who just likes to watch the Monsters on the screen and push what I tell him to. Already done most of the post game, just haven’t gone back to do the elite 4 round two. There’s just one thing that’s killing me from when I first played the original games.
And that’s wanting to completely fill up the Pokedex Library with very little Action Replay use possible.
Other than that, Got Damn Battle Subway Crit Hax.
Okay so currently my team is…
Samurott
Krokorok
Galvantula
Sawk
Sigilyph
Cottonee
but I kinda want to train a Litwik.
I’m thinking I could let go of Sigiliyph to do so…thoughts?
I didn’t care for my Sigilyph. I raised one specifically for the E4, and it died too quickly and didn’t really have good stats. I’m not sure if there are better psychic types out there, but I’m not fan.
I finally beat the game today. Gonna start the end game tomorrow.
Chandelure has advantages over Sigilyph in DEF, SP ATK, and SP DEF. It has also has more resistances though both are still weak to a whopping 5 types. It’s a good move if you are in need of a fire type, which appears so.
While in game I had a great deal of luck with my sigliph (he swept most of the elite 4 in the first run through despite mediocre levels) the chandelure was just as effective, and like it was brought up, has defensive advantages siggy doesn’t have.
I feel chandelure will be better in competitive gaming, especially once dream world drops and he has access to shadow tag. nonetheless, i really enjoyed my sigliph and wouldn’t dismiss the idea of training one again.
When are Dream World servers going to be online? I heard March 30, but apparently that date was wrong:tdown:
I was hoping to get Golurk’s(Ghost/Ground) hidden ability…
Dynamic Punch+ ability that gives 100% hit rate+ 20% power increase on punch moves=gdlk…
Or you could use Machamp and get a 100% hit rate and a 50% power increase.
