How’s competitive battling on the MMO?
I can’t really tell you yet, since I’m still going through the story to get half-decent pokemon. I got challenged early on, and wooped some dude’s squirtle with my charmander, though. :3

Competitive battling is a mixed bag. Some people are way too behind in the game in order to put up a real fight, like this one time where I got creamed by someone’s LV58 Charizard. There’s no smogon rules so anything and everything goes (double team, double sleep, etc) but right now the game isn’t complete in a lot of areas so everybody is just EV grinding.
Oh yeah last thing I bought that gift shop package where you get the 25% EXP boost and 10% shiny rates. It’s 20 dollars for 15 days, so Imma grind the shit outta the pokemon I need to lv fast.
Anyone have Black 2? I have White 2, and I want to use the Unova Link post Elite 4.

LOL. I’m too busy with my own story to remotely pay attention to what everyone else is doing.
I’ve got Black 2, but I’m only at badge #6… Still have a bit left to go before I can do any Linking. School and Job hunting have been keeping me away from the Pokemon here lately.
Also, LOL @ Smogon banning Sand Veil AND Snow Cloak just so the Land Shark can return to OU… Or at least that’s their excuse. Does the game they even play even resemble actual Pokemon anymore?
Sand Veil and Snow Cloak gone? Good riddance. The less luck-based abilities in the game, the better imo.
Plays Pokemon… complains about luck in a game with critical hits and less than 100% accurate moves… probably uses Stone Edge and Focus Blast and complains whenever he is “hax’d” by paralysis or crits… hypocrisy check
By the way guy, before you reply to me with some drawn out post about how luck ruins the metagame, save it. I’m not now, nor will I ever be convinced that luck “ruins” the game anymore than Stealth Rock, priority moves, Choice Scarf, or weather in general. So save your time for something more productive.
Because Cacturne and Froslass were such overcentralizing threats that their go-to abilities had to be banned.

Crits are my most hated thing about the game (part of why I don’t really play anymore), and I won’t hesitate to give away a game where the only reason I won was due to luck (especially if it was a good battle up until that point). Christ, you’re pretty quick to assume though.
What doesn’t ruin the Pokemon metagame at this point?
So I finally got into the server…and was immediately sucked in. I got a lonely Charmander (lucky me) and I’m currently EV spd ev training on route 1. Trainer name is EpikSRK
I thought SV would go a lot sooner, especially when Garchomp was dominating the OU metagame back in DPP. But anyway, I’ve added those of you who submitted your GTs on the first page. I still need to get rid of my Bold Alakazam because it has over a whooping 80 EV investment in ATK (my guess through random battles) which is a big no-no. I don’t think you can get those berry EV stat drops in FireRed, so I’m just going to have use him for trade fodder. Hell, I should replace my whole team because the EVs are just everywhere.
you can get EV dropping berries in Saffron.
