Official NCAA College Football 2011/2012 Thread: Now with less Tressel

that game was boring as fuck

Probably because there were better teams like Oklahoma State and Oregon just to name a few.

Didn’t Oregon get massacred by LSU earlier this year?(At least Bama had the benefit of bad kicking and only losing by 3). I think if the pokes hadn’t lost to such a crappy Iowa State team they would have been right in there.

Oregon loss to LSU who barley got by Bama on a fluke win then got demolished by Bama.

Everyone knows playoffs is the best way to go, but once again I ask what COULD THE BCS HAVE DONE THAT WAS BETTER.

LSU is undefeated therefor they deserve to be in that game, at the same time anyone with fucking eyes and watched the LSU/Bama game (1st one) knew Bama was the better team.

This is pretty damn simple.

Not to mention Arkansas who only two loss of the year come to the team that is ranked #1, and #2. Hell I put all 3 of them mother fuckers > Oregon, and I am a Pac-12 guy.

And don’t even get me started on OSU. They got out played by Stanford, but they won basically in the same ass fashion that LSU beat Bama the 1st time. If those two teams would run it back Standford would smack OSU silly just like Bama did to LSU.

If Bama was the better team they would’ve won the first time. Real talk, it should’ve been Oklahoma state vs. LSU.

Wait wait a minute you’re telling me Bama is not better than LSU when they just beat them 21-0?

They loss in OT to LSU, because they missed 3 FG. That’s special team mother fucker! Wait I know Neil Rackers > Tom Brady, Arron Rodgers, Peyton Manning and Drew Brees right?

Everyone knows special team is the most inconsistent erratic shit in football. Don’t you remember Tony Romo fumbling the snap in Seattle? And the stupid ass idea that division winner = better. Don’t you remember Seattle > Saints last year? Hypothetically speaking if Seattle would of won the SB last year were they the best team in the league? (They would of ended the season 10-9).

The only people who have a problem with the national title game is people in Texas, Oklahoma, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and maybe Idaho. The rest of the United States understand common reasoning.

Given the current BCS system, Oklahoma State should’ve been in the title game. PERIOD. Not Alabama.

Wait a minute time the fuck out.

So now you’re telling me that #2 Bama who only loss was a 3 point loss to #1 LSU, didn’t deserve to be in the title game because #3 OSU only has one **6 **point loss to un ranked Iowa St.

And you have the audacity to C’mon son me?

Just sayin, you gotta give another team an opportunity and this title game was a slap in the face for what? A rematch?

YOU MAKE NO SENSE.

**OSU GOT BEAT BY AN UNRANKED TEAM!!! and you want them in the main bowl game? **
Bama got beat by 3 at LSU which both were fighting for #1. I hate the bcs as well but to think that this was not the better game, you have got to be kidding me.

Okay here’s how stupid this BCS crap is getting (nothing new really lol).

Even after losing to Alabama in the national championship game, Les Miles still campaigned and asked for first place votes anyway. He said they should get first place votes for their work in the regular season.

He ended one of his post-game interviews with “that’s up to the voters to figure out.”

Fuck this BCS bullshit and give us the playoffs. Miles is hoping for a split national title.

Having two teams from the same conference isn’t a problem because that’s how this broken system is designed anyway by choosing the two “best” teams in the nation. The way its determined (computers and compromised voters) is causing the hate.

A playoff should remove any doubts on who should be the national champion.

had the results been the other way around you could make this argument but since Bama won it’s really silly. It’s not about giving a different team a chance but having the two best teams go at it, not to mention the majority of the people in the country wanted to see this re-mach after Bama should have won.

OS vs Stanford was a fun game anyway so it’s not a big deal.

It’s so boring that I’m watching the replay right now.

I’m so glad I went to sleep and didn’t watch it. Not that I would have watched it anyway.

But lol Saban trolled the BCS good.

Don’t win division: Check.
By that consequence don’t win conference: Check.
Win National Title anyway: Check.

That’s better than when he trolled the Dolphins.

OSU lost a day after their athletic department suffered a horrible tragedy, shouldn’t that be taken into consideration?

Nope. Why should other teams be penalized for something outside of their control and history has shown that players have to be able to step it up in the face of tragedy.

Quite honestly, even though OSU did faceplant against Iowa State, they still:

  1. Won their conference.
  2. Had quite a bit better body of work over the regular season.

Playoffs are the optimal situation, but it really should’ve been LSU vs OSU last night.

Besides, look what happened the last time the title game was SEC vs Big 12. The Big 12 team’s star player ended up getting drafted by the Browns.

Who on OSU wants that fate?

Way early pre-season 2012 poll: http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/news;_ylt=AhawJ70IYV7ouDWQRfM2VGgcvrYF?slug=mh-huguenin_2012_college_football_preseason_top_25_011012

Decent season this year (unless you’re a Penn State fan). Plenty of wtf moments and good football.

I wonder what my year younger self would say if I told him that Oklahoma, Boise State, and Oregon would lose on their home turf? Or someone would get blanked in the title game? Just the fact that Joe Paterno managed to get fired rather than retiring is mind boggling to think about.

I’m sure the SEC would love to have two or three teams in the four team playoff.
