I thought a lot of people hate the Knicks because their fanbase is annoying as hell. Just going by what I heard.
off topic but what do you think happens to svg for his comments he made against stern?
i feel like he’s absolutely right but you know stern is gonna hit him with something crazy.
tired of everything being a tech, tho.
This is your assumption dude. If people hate NY so much then why does NY have the most fans outside of NY? You guys have fans in just about every city especially with the Yankees. Every baseball game that I go to that we play against NY the stadium is full! The stadium is never full with a 100 loss team, but when we play NY everyone and their mama is in Yankees fitted. Tell me why the fuck is this song so popular if everyone hates NY?

This is just fucking asinine and you know it.
Do you personally have Melo’s, Stat’s, Lebron’s, and Wade’s phone number? Unless you do this once again is a fucking assumption.
Melo left NY at age 8! Dude should be repping Baltimore not NY.
And Melo didn’t? LeBron teamed up with Wade. Melo teamed up with STAT, but Bron took the easy way, and Melo didn’t?
Don’t forget LeBron and Wade were good friends before he picked Miami.
I get where you are coming from NY does have haters, BUT WHICH CITY DOESN’T.
Every single city has haters. NY however has a lot more dick riders then lets say Nebraska!
You just posting a shit load of opinions. At least Matrix used stats to back up his arguments.
You want to know the real reason people hate NY? Not the reason you guys think, but the real fucking reason.
It’s not your bright lights, not your big ass shopping malls, not all the money you guys have. People want those those things. What people really hate is that attitude that it comes with those things. The lack of humbleness. The disrespect to everyone who doesn’t have those things.
Everyone knows NY is a great city, but you don’t have to gloat about it. NY is like those fans that say well the Cowboys have 5 championship rings so they are better than the Eagles. Well that’s fucking great for the Cowboys, but that is the past. It’s irrelevant now. NY likes to point out things of the past and rub it in peoples face.
I read fields should be rookie of the year and just stopped reading that post lmao:tdown: You know god damn well Blake is rookie of the year, whats with all the walls of text today to:confused:
Well I think some Knicks were chanting for CP3, just like 1 or 2 games after Melo was brought in.
EDIT: They totally did With Carmelo Anthony on Knicks, spotlight turns to Chris Paul who may face same speculation
I guess Billups doesn’t appreciate it.
He must have been talking about Stephon Marbury’s dumbass “Master” comments on twitter.
Although Bogut should have left it alone because it was an equally dumb comment.
technically blake isn’t a rookie, which is why i said what i said, the way i said it.
obviously i like blake over fields, tho. who doesn’t? but yeah…
Even if you were talking about true rookies I’d pick John wall or Demarcus cousins over fields and demarcus cousins is a whiney bitch at that
Every single .500+ team has fans who think their team can win the championship. Crazy Knicks fan who’s saying NY will win a ring this year isn’t more or less crazy than the Portland fan saying the Blazers will go all the way. But people will hate on the Knicks fan more because the Knicks are the NY team and always have like 5 segments on Sportscenter.
There’s a marked difference between hating a team for what the PLAYERS actually say and do and hating a team for stupid shit some of their FANS say. I mean, c’mon, that’s just silly to compare the two.
There are tons of OKC fans yelling about how DurantBrook is gonna lead their team to a ring this season, and neither one of them have gone anywhere in the playoffs, so where are the Thunder haters? It’s not because obnoxious NY fans are any more or less obnoxious than Oklahoma City fans, but because it’s blatantly obvious that there is a lot of random hate and/or jealousy when it comes to NY.
This actually goes way beyond sports. Everyone either loves or hates NYC because everyone KNOWS about NYC. NYC is everywhere in the media. News, movies, music, books, tv, even video games. NYC is the most popular tourist attraction in America by far. People living in places we’ve never heard of on the other side of the world know about NYC. There are people walking the streets of LA who can’t name 10 cities of California who know NYC’s 5 boroughs. When everyone knows something, everyone has an opinion about it. LA is very similar in this sense. Everyone loves LA or loves to hate LA.
Some people in NY have a superiority complex and some people from other parts of the country have an inferiority complex. Both sides are wrong, but that’s just how it is. Now, of course, there are some people who think NYC is the best. But you can’t tell me there aren’t just as many people from Utah, Portland, Atlanta, etc that all hate hard on NY for no reason other than the fact that they’re city isn’t NYC.
NY gets all the media attention. That’s not an opinion, that’s a hard fact. They are the media capital of America. It’s expected. But NBA fans from smaller media markets (That’s EVERYONE ELSE, even LA to a lesser extent) hate on that because NY stories hog all the attention in sports news and they feel that their own teams don’t get enough coverage. I’m not saying one side is right or one side is wrong, but that’s just the way it is.

I would agree on Wall but you could make an argument that he missed 10 games and turns the ball over too much.
Cousins is meh imo. He shoots 42% as a big man while Fields shoots 51% as a guard/sf. Also Cousins turns the ball over more than twice as much as Fields did even though Fields plays 5 more minutes per game than Cousins. As an all around rookie you could make a great case for Fields if Blake was somehow not in the running, especially if he keeps playing like he has the past few games the rest of the season. But yeah I would still go with Wall.

The Knicks still are not a real threat, they play defense once out of every 6 games or so. No Dantoni team will ever win the championship. If NY really wants to win they will need a new coach.
And no one is hating on the Knicks right now, that is just a complex NY has. Unlike the Big 1 (Lebrick and Bosh don’t count), they did not come out saying they will win 7 championships, proclaim themselves the greatest ever, give themselves stupid nicknames, and act like pompous asshats.
Instead NY really did not say anything and just went to work. If anything they got alot of respect for that.
espn in general and charles barkley disagree with you (and a lot of the net), tho.
as far as this game goes, come on knicks. stop turning the ball over.
People quit believing anything ESPN said years ago, according to them
Lebron is the greatest player ever before he even played a game
Reggie Bush is the greatest RB ever before playing one game in the nfl and was going to set all the records
Boston/NY rivalry ever (baseball obv)
The Spurs have never been that good and have lucked themselves into 4 championships
true.
melo has 20 points in the first half…but we’re up by like 8 due to the turnovers.
how frustrating. the d isn’t bad…but the turnovers.
stat, douglas and melo doing well…but the turnovers.
make it stop.
Scott Brooks does things that make no sense, Ibaka has not played in the second half until the last 4 min of the 4th quarter. He does that all the time to and it almost never works out when he does.
Kevin Durant more clutch then Lebron
End of the OKC/Philly game was all kinds of confusing. An obvious traveling call not called, a makeup illegal screen call on a good screen then Philly just gives up and doesn’t foul with like 11 seconds left.
The Bulls win again, they’re gonna catch the Celtics and get that #1 seed.
we can’t get a call at all.
stat is hurt.
we need this win. make it happen knicks.
Props to the Clipps on their win. You guys went from beating the C’s by 19+ points to barely beating them by only 5.
Arroyo with a fucking 45 jersey. And “the other Jordan” and Mo Wills was killing us, apparently.
Wish I got to see such a blowout-turned-close-game.
Rapid reaction: Clippers 108, Celtics 103 - Boston Celtics Blog - ESPN Boston
even if we win, we don’t deserve props for this shit.
