Official NBA IS BACK CKRAZY SEASON 3 FANTASY FUN LEAGUE CHAMPION NEVER FORGET!

It really depends on LA allowing Bosh (and others like Miller, Chalmers, House) to get the hot hand. If LA defends the high P&R like they have post-ASB, it leaves Wade and Lebron to play superstar, which isn’t a guaranteed win for Miami. Either way, both teams are fighting for playoff seeding and/or HCA, so it’ll be a fun watch.

EDIT: Fuck am I kidding, it’ll be 5 on 8 in favor of the Heat.

If the Heat just beat the Lakers all is forgotten.

The Heat just CANT LET GO OF THE ROPE lol.

Still think they are more in a slump then people exploiting them. Minus the Spurs game they have been in them all. They are still in 3rd in standings. The Heat also have something nice which is after this winning record stretch they fight the bottom of the barrel the rest of the season minus the Hawks/Celts which will allow them to re focus and get back the winning mentalitly and mindset even if on the backs of the shitty teams.

But CMON isnt there more to talk about then some teams 5 game losing streak, its not like their losing them 30 each night.

Knicks have beaten the Bulls 3 straight. I feel we can beat them.

Miami, not worried about at all. Last 2 games we beat Miami. 2nd time we beat them Melo just barely got there. Now that they are learning to play together and are confident, the complete opposite of Miami, I’m not worried. Miami is overrated, been saying it all year. They are a bunch of individual players pretending to be a team. If they face the Knicks the first round, they go home.

I get what you’re saying but your 3 centers combined, average a little more than 9/5. One of the reasons that Bulls team worked was because they had Rodman to annoy PF and grab a ton of rebounds. You don’t even get that from Bosh. Miami should have Tyson Chandler/Kendrick Perkins type center on that team. When is Haslem coming back? They could really use him when Bosh is sucking a big dong.

That’s what gets me too. I thought one of the advantages of this team was to have 2 options for a final shot with a pretty decent 3rd option, while having 2 other shooters lurking around.

Miami shouldn’t trip. Just stop talking and play the game. As mentioned earlier, aside from Spurs, they’ve been in it each time.

I just find it hilarious how when Bosh was on the Rapts he took flak for being a shitty rebounder, soft, and took nothing but jumpshots (all true). Then he joins the Heat and media/fans were all hugging his nuts about being a big man, post presence, with a smooth jumpshot to boot (ALL OF A SUDDEN!). And then he logs major minutes as a 3rd option and the truth comes out again.

Guys like Bosh, Miller, Bibby, Z, Dampier, Spo, etc. think that joining a 2 superstar team automatically masks their individual deficiencies as basketball players. LeBrick and Wade have missed critical FTs and shots a plenty but even I can’t fault them for the losses seeing as they both go 30/8/8 and the rest go a collective 4/30 with 5 reb.

And yeah…Rapts fans are laughing at Bosh commanding low-post plays as the solution. Dude routinely got schooled on both ends of the floor by NBA superstars like JOSH BOONE back in the TO days.

Unlike Longley, none of our centers play 25+ minutes.

Like when people say, “Miami has a hole at center… the center only averages 2 points.” Well duh, Dampier has only started a handful of games and averages 15 minutes. Only one of the three centers averages 20 minutes, and the guy had a few DNPs recently.

Playing time and rotations are either a coaching decision or an injury issue that forces the coach’s hand. I’m not super familiar with the injury history of all Miami’s big men. Geo?

I don’t understand where Knicks fans are getting all this confidence from.

Did they just suddenly forget they’re only 4 games above .500 and they are 0-3 against the worst team in the league?

Fans of good teams don’t understand/remember what it’s like to be a fan of a shitty team. Little things matter.

Wouldn’t you wanna boast about your team after a decade of shittyness and your team finally shows a glimmer of light?

I have it the worst of the worst.

Forbes said Seattle worst sport city and I agree everything here sucks.

UW basketball was supposed to be good, they sucked.
UW football was supposed to be good, they sucked.
Baseball team reach a all new level of sucky.
Sonics sucked before they moved, and now they are good.
Seahawks sucked, but somehow got 1 win in the playoffs, but still they were 7-9 going into the playoff.

I know I can be delusional at times, but NY fans take the cake on this one. However I’ve learn not to burst people’s bubble anymore. If the Knicks do good, then good for their fans. If they suck, they oh well it happens. No point in telling them “I told you so.”

Its a combo of matchups and the fact all three guys are so foul prone.

When we started Joel in the beginning of the year, we started 9-8. When we started Z, we went on a 22 game winning streak. When started Dampier, we started losing again.

Common sense would say that Z is the best choice. We rebound more thanks to his great size and his mid is money off of pick and pops (way more consistent than Bosh). But the problem is out of all three guys, he’s the most foul prone.

It’s basically like a six-figure CEO scoffing at a $1,000 bonus while the mailroom guy’s almost in tears over the $1,000 bonus. Total disconnect. Same thing with fans of good teams and fans of bad teams.

i remember when i said that the knicks would be 6th or 7th seed, niggas scoffed.
now look. some dudes on nt talk about hopefully getting 5th…although IMO its better if we remain the 6th seed because i don’t like our chances against dwight howard.

mad ppl were happy when stat put the team on his back and gave it his all night in and night out and turned the team around this season. this season and last are complete opposites for us.

and we get melo and billups? in the same season??

and we’ve beaten

the heat
shoulda won against the celtics but lost due to the time on the clock not being right after pierce’s shot (yep)
beat the spurs
beat the bulls twice (not three times, nori, we only played them twice)
beat the nuggets
beat the hawks
beat the jazz
beat the hornets
beat the thunder
etc.

we are 0-3 against the worst team in the league. thats fine (its really not) but we have won against legitimate teams…consistently when you look at the record. that and other teams, other good teams, have losses against bad teams that they should have won against on paper.

melo and stat have gelled well considering the short amount of time. the bench post losing gallo, felton, moz, etc. has done well on short notice as well after losing billups due to the thigh injury.

i like our chances against the heat in the playoffs should we face them, which is likely, because we are hungrier, have players that absolutely want to be in ny and want to do well for the city.

its not even about winning a championship but just doing the best we can this season and proving haters wrong. proving that ny can be a threat again, even with who we have now.

even haters gotta admit that ny is a threat. maybe you don’t see us as legit yet, as a major player in the east, as elite, as great, etc. etc. but ny is a threat. this is season 1 after getting stat (and later on melo). wait til next season.

Fuck the Seahawks the Rams should have made it to the playoffs

When did the Heat go on a 22 game winning streak I think I missed that this season.

The so called “haters” aren’t hating on the Knicks becuase they are good. People are hating on the Knicks is because “some” (not saying you) knicks fan think they are championship material. No one hates on a team that is barley above .500.

People hate on Miami becuase they proclaimed themselves as champions before the season even started, and now “some” NY fans are proclaiming themselves the new “shit” just liked Miami did.

I don’t know how you can say NY is hungrier than Miami. The only guys on Knicks with championship is Billups, and for Miami it’s Wade/house.

Both team star players are pretty damn hungry. 1/3 of the big three for both teams has a ring. I think everyone is hungry at this point. That’s what make this season so GREAT. Miami is hungry, NY is hungry, Kobe is hungry to be like MJ, Boston is hungry to proove that should have won last year, Dwight is hungry becuase he never gets enough love. Bulls are hungry because LeBron, and Wade turned them down.

i don’t feel like we’re going to face the bulls…i feel like ny will face miami in the first round. bulls are on a run and the heat are in a slump. anything could change, tho.

should miami get knocked out in the first round and ny make it through, imagine the headlines…

I hope you old-school NBA heads on this board are as hyped to see ESPN’s Fab Five documentary as I am.

Just think about it, if it wasn’t for them, Lebron might be rocking the bootyhugger shorts right now. Imagine Big Baby in short shorts! shudder

^_-;

of course not. the knicks haven’t been good in a decade. i dont think that anybody thinks that ppl hate the knicks because the knicks are good.

ppl hate the knicks because the knicks are ny. ppl love to hate the city, period. they’d hate on the knicks good or bad.

no one here thinks that the knicks are championship material, afaik. no one believes the knicks make it past the second round.

thats where there’s a difference between us.

most ppl don’t believe knicks make it past the FIRST round. personally, i believe we have a legit shot at it. others say not at all.

i disagree on this.

while i agree with the reason why some ppl dislike the heat, i feel like NY fans are talking about the future but confident on what we can do now. none of us expect a chip this season. at all.

but the knicks knocking a team out in the playoffs shouldn’t be classified as reaching IMO and shouldn’t be cause for hate considering who we have on the team and our record against some of the teams in the top in the east.

realistically speaking, we’d be up against the heat, the bulls or the magic. i like our chances against the heat because of the mental weakness and because we’ve beaten them before. i like our chances against the bulls because we’ve beaten them before.

i don’t like our chances against the magic because we don’t have an answer for dwight. but i don’t see how beating one of the other two teams or at least STATING that the knicks are capable of doing that should be cause for ppl to call ppl out.

we have melo. we have stat. we have billups. fields should be the rookie of the year (sorry blake). anthony carter is doing well now. douglas is doing well now. the knicks are starting to play d (and efficiently at that). we need to be more consistent, obviously, but its a huge start at the right time.

i don’t think that its comparable to what the heat did with the pyro and the claims of winning multiple championships starting this year.

NY means more to melo than miami does to bron/bosh. melo wants to do it for himself and the city, as does stat. winning a championship IMO and in their opinions means more to NY and to the league.
melo and stat wanted this. they are leaders.

that bron shit showed his character. which is fine. dude took the easy route. i’m not gonna hate, he did what he felt was best. he didn’t want to walk into a cleveland like situation here. obviously it turned out that NY isn’t cleveland and miami isn’t the promised land.

our bench plays hungrily (thanks dwight). our guys are clutch. don’t think ny is hungrier? explain some of the wins we have against better teams? or what happened when we played boston? NY is mad hungry to get to that next level.

the heat take those accolades for granted, IMO. shit was handed to them. bosh was put in that superstar status early by the media without proving a damn thing.

stat was always considered “made” by nash. he was hungry to prove he could do it himself. big difference. melo is here but its still stat’s team IMO.
