To be fair their starting lineup is Billups, Fields, Melo, STAT and Turiaf… which honestly is solid. Despite Turiaf’s shaky health and lack of size, its a balanced team on both sides.
Bench wise? They are exactly the same. Still have Toney Douglas and Shawne Williams, barely used any other bigs before so they don’t matter.
Essentially the Knicks did get better, but STAT is no longer the man in NY. And Denver got better too.

Billups is still one of the best defensive point guards in the league. Turiaf and STAT are both good shot blockers. Fields is a solid perimeter defender.
Yes, they can play defense. The reality is that they won’t because their system is so focused on offense.
And in reality also, the team ends becoming exactly what Melo already had in Denver, except STAT is better than Nene.
