Lamar Odom has had 3 games during the Lakers negative stretch where in he was just a smiggett of a factor, those stats maybe true in terms of his average but how much are they worth to the Lakers wins/losses lately??
Lamar does the same thing in the playoffs, he has one game in each playoff series and people ride his nuts like he’s the solid #2 or #3 Kobe & the Lakers need when in all actuality he is not.
Nothing about Lamar Kardashian screams consistency except for the fact that he consistently DOESN’T show up when the Lakers need him to do so!!

Lamar isn’t getting 15 pts in crunch time, nor is he gaining 3 or 4 rebounds in the 4th quarter when the lakers are up or down by 3 pts etc.
There inability to rebound cost them the game against the spurs recently, aren’t the lakers SUPPOSE to have the best.most length in the Western Conference with Bynum,Gasol,Odom in the line up??
The man just isn’t there, the same dude who hasn’t had a solid game since Kevin Love pushed his shit in,Phil Jackson spoke bad about him then he posted 22 pts,after that, lamar went back into no-existence!!
P.S. M.Beasley is a Career average 15.6 and like 6 rebounds but you not crying he’s a great starter are you??
I like how you blame Lamar Odom for not rebounding and then mention Gasol and Bynum. Lamar had 1 less rebound than Gasol, even though he played less minutes. It was definitely Lamar’s fault at the very end of the game (not boxing out). But to solely blame him for that loss is absurd. Keep in mind Odom was the one who made the 3 to bring the game within 1.
I never said he’s the most dependable player, but he’s definitely the solid #3 on the Lakers. If not, tell me who is. And before you say Bynum, remember how many games he played this season, how many minutes per game even when he does play, and who closes the games.

Nowhere in any of my posts did I excuse Gasol for not showing up or Bynum but…
Gasol since landing in LA has been… Pau Gasol,the same PF/C he was in Memphis with the Grizz,even elevated his game due to critics and Kobe calling him soft etc. Way more consistent then Odom, Bynum has been injured and his minutes are limited by the coach, Bynum isn’t expected to be the #3 anyway,he is currently used to throw a monkey wrench in the opponents game plans when it comes to long stretches,He is the 3rd option on the floor depending on who’s in (Lamar,Pau,Bynum/Kobe,Lamar,Bynum etc)Lamar on the other hand was suppose to be used as the point forward and the go to guy when kobe is in foul trouble,d’ed up and Gasol is tired.
When has Lamar lived up to this??
Do you not remember the stretch the lakers went on while Bynum was rehabing,where was Lamar during this stretch,people complained about Pau being tired due to no significant backup at C, where was Lamar to help lighten the load??

If somebody does this consistently, they are all-star material. I responded to “Lamar isn’t a starter,” which he definitely is. I never said Lamar is an All-Star, just that he’s good enough to be considered a starTER.
By the way, I like how you say “The saddest thing about him is he can’t even post average numbers,off the bench,against bench players consistently.” Then when I post his averages, you basically say it doesn’t count. What should a bench player be averaging then?

I made the M.Beasley reference because the stats don’t tell the whole story,I am watching these games,watching the Lakers get there shit pushed in and over the past few years I have NOT seen Lamar Odom elevate his game play in anyway, I really don’t know what he is suppose to be the most known for in terms of his skills or what it is exactly he does for the Lakers that makes him such a valuable asset to the team.
If you are talking passing…well Luke walton does that, Lamar was labeled as that next weapon,someone they could use to help get pressure off the other big names yet…he’s never done this except for 1 game per playoff series, it was Ron Artest who stepped up last seasn yet Lamar got a new contract etc…all for what??
I’ve often seen Lamar score 8 pts in the 1st half, so your saying 7 pts in the 2nd half makes him a valuable starter on a championship team??

Lamar averages 14.7 for his career, last season he averaged 10.8 before that 11.3 averaging 30 or minutes int he game and damn near ALWAYS placed int he game during the stretch,whether its because the coach has confidence he can make something happen or for an extra body,either way,I haven’t seen him shine in years

I thought the main appeal to Odom is him being a bench guy, who didn’t care about being a bench guy. It’s a team with two bigs who expect to be starters. There aren’t many players who’d agree to that rotation-- if they do, they wouldn’t be better than LO (and they’d be 30+ and riddled with injuries mostly).
Also, LA’s bench quality’s been depleted since 08. Hell yeah Odom’s been their best bench asset the past 2 years-- all those times he starts 4 and sometimes plays 5 thanks to Mr. Glass Knees-- all the way to the Finals? All those times he wrecks his back and drains crap out of it, but still plays in big games?
He doesn’t have anything close to a 40% 3, but it’s good enough to catch his defenders off-guard. He’s one of the few not-Kobe Lakers who doesn’t have a problem with creating his own shot. And whether it was because of this stupid reality show or not, he’s played the best ball this season that I’ve seen from him since he was traded, and he’s been the most consistent Laker from October to now-- more than Kobe (early in the season; definitely not now) and Gasol (until very recently… and who knows when he’ll start whining again). Bynum’s production’s dropped since his return.
LO racks up double-doubles regularly and misses triple-doubles… yeah. He’s not garbage, not as long as he doesn’t talk big or demands to start, or as long as LA has twin towers. I wish LA had the luxury of calling him garbage, because everyone else has played like shit this season overall, except… Kobe and Barnes.

Anyone think the Cavs can somehow win tonight?I expect them to come out swinging and play thier hearts and asses off,but since the Mavs dont have to play tommarow I ecpect they will likely being playing just as hard to avoid hummilation and probly the biggest upset of all time.
