lol. is it really necessary to put ‘imo’ at the end of every of your posts? i mean it’s a given its your opinion since you’re not quoting or putting any links in your posts. just typical laker hate nonsense
Here is a well-researched and supported opinion for you:
u mad.
imo.
wow, that was excellent and well thought out. back to basketball, yes i am mad that the lakers played like ass but season is long from over.
twit
Get it? ‘That’s what I think.’ Get it?! Get it?! .
I see a couple of problems with the “wait until playoffs” attitude.
First: This is not the same team as last year. True, Farmar is probably worse than Blake but Blake hasn’t played that well recently. We have no bench depth in terms of our big men.
Second: Kobe is not the same Kobe. He is having trouble with his lift, from my own observations, and is playing differently altogether.
Third: Our pick and roll defense was bad last year, but this year it may be even worse. Bynum is slow on the pick and roll in defense (probably from his injury) and Derek Fisher is clearly too old to defend ANYBODY in the league. We are getting eaten up constantly on those plays. And with no back up for Gasol or Bynum (who sucks against it), we are going to be in trouble later.
Lakers can’t get lackadaisical and think it’s entirely in the bag. The Spurs and Mavs are both playing well. I’ll always root for the Lakers but I think they need to be careful here. We’ve had an easy schedule so far, so what’s going to happen when it tightens up? I trust that the Zen master knows what he’s doing but I can’t help but feel at least somewhat alarmed by the whole thing.
lakers need chris paul and dwight howard.
Well. Denver vs. OKC looks much better so far. Even if the Thunder have those weird, bright yellow shoes.
They lost two of them. They were a quarter away from not winning one last year. Without Gasol, they don’t make 3 trips. Without Shaq, they don’t make 3 trips.
Fuck these analysts for always throwing excuses around whenever they lose. If Bynum is not 100% come playoffs, they are not winning anything. After all, no Phil coached championship team has ever lost four games in a row during a season, and this team did this year.
“without players, a team doesn’t win a championship”
wow what great insight Geo, miami schools must be amazing
Choke on Bynum’s big toe, you trash team supporting whore.
right, they did lose two but if you look closely at my post, i said Appearances not wins. I’ll still take 5/7 finals wins than 1/1 for the heat. And if that’s your argument then without shaq, the heat do not even make it to their lone finals appearence, let alone win.
2011 Kobe isn’t 2007 Kobe, but he played poorly after his knee surgery at the start of that season, then was back at full force by February. Soo, hopefully by ASW he’ll look better. But the truth is, Kobe can’t play at elite level for all 82 games anymore. LA could use another dominant playmaker to lead them through the season. Their scoring is fine but someone else has to lead the offense when he’s not on the court.
And 2011 Lakers aren’t as talented as 2001 Lakers (in many ways)… but they had a crap regular season too. The real problem is coughing up HCA by the 2nd month in the season. The odds of a team winning everything without homecourt are thinner than… okay no more Lebron jokes.
But this is silly, it’s still December and a lot of things can change by then. After ASW and the trade deadlines, you can (kind of) get a good idea of which team’s going deep and which team’s playing the Finals on Xbox.
It’s 11 fucking AM and I haven’t slept, lol
And the heat can’t make it without at least two stars/big man either. Kinda like every fucking team ever.
'99 Knicks didn’t have any stars. Their big was 37 year old Ewing, and Spree/Houston weren’t stars.
That’s a shitty argument, and one used commonly by people that have no idea what they’re talking about.
Shaq played less than 60 games that year and was barely a factor in many key games. In the Finals, he averaged about 15 points. He didn’t even have double digits in the final title clinching game. So yeah, go ahead and use that bullshit “Heat wouldn’t have won without Shaq” excuse if you want. Its common ignorance.
The Heat could have won without Shaq, but they wouldn’t have won without the refs not knowing how to make foul calls.
imo.
Tis the season to be angry!
Falalalala…
^_-;
I wonder how long it’ll take for Bynum to return to full form because Gasol really needs to go back to his natural position at PF. I dare say the lakers are starting to show their age, quicker/faster guards are penetrating far too easily. Artest looks slow for somebody who trimmed down this year, and Barnes seems to be stealing a bit of his heavy minutes. What makes this a bad loss is how the lakers overlooked the bucks then came into this one. They clearly had advantages upfront but none of that was put into emphasis. I hope they can beat spurs at least, but right now it’s looking unlikely.
Last year Boston Celtics are the only team I have seen that was able to pull off the “wait until playoffs”, and have it worked.
Oh please. Don’t be delusional. You honestly think that the heat wouldve gone to the finals without shaq still being relevant? After he left, what have the heat done, besides winning today and making the lakers and their fans mad? Jack shit
My Bulls may have lost, but this was the best thing I saw all day
