No real Knicks fan thinks we are going to make a deep playoff run, but as long as they make the playoffs, I’m happy. If you make the playoffs, you have a shot to win, so that’s all I can ask for. I can’t take any more 25 win seasons, I’ve seen enough the last 10 years
Agreed. I’ve seen the good (Riley years), the bad (during the 80s - Trent Tucker was great tho), and the ugly (the 10 or so previous years), but the Knicks being relevant isn’t only good for us Knick fans but for the NBA as a whole as well.
BTW, if the Knicks do make a trade, I would send Chandler (not Galo) and Curry. I like Chandler a lot, however, Melo is a better verison of him, and Fields can be a Chandler type player as he progresses so the team would be more balance if they where to trade him.
That’s probably why the Knicks did not extended Wilson’s contract pass this year.
Damn, Yao Ming out indefinitely with stress fracture. May retire at 30. Sad news. I liked Yao, and I thought he could be a championship winning center with the right pieces around him. Add a healthy Yao, who’s good for 23-10 every night, to the current Rockets roster and you have a 4th-5th seed in the west who could contend with anyone in a 7 game series. It’s funny cuz he started off as an Iron Giant, never missing games. It’s too bad his body broke down so fast.

If the NBA wants to help teams like New Orleans, they should actually work with TNT and ESPN in getting them more TV spots, thus building up their exposure and fanbase. They seem to love showing the fucking Blazers, Suns, Jazz and Spurs every week… and then they wonder why certain other teams are struggling financially. People forget they exist because of the douche bag scheduling, which directly affects National TV coverage choices.
I mean, it isn’t really rocket science. 30 teams in the league, why the fuck must we see the same 5-6 every fucking week?
Because regular people won’t watch games like the Bobcats if its on national television. The networks don’t want low ratings.

You could say the same thing about the Warriors since they lose a lot, yet they’re on TV all the time. I’m pretty sure the Jazz and Spurs doesn’t equal high ratings either. They win, but no one really cares about them.

They lost to a Durantless Thunder, the Mavs, Cavs and Raptors. Yeah the Celtics have injuries but their arguably the deepest team in the league.
The Heat also have yet to beat the Alternate-Dimension Heat. The team that also has Wade, LeBron, and Bosh, but with goatees.

Promoting N.O on t.v is fucking useless to the Hornets. If anything they should be promoting within the city/community of N.O to get people to come to the game. Once you establish attendance then you can branch out and market them on T.V for exposure and hype and that is when you start to sell merchandise and start bumping up that add revenue.
No one gives a fuck if N.O gets two fan in Wyoming thanks to TNT and ESPN. What they want is the citizens of the city of N.O to attend the fucking games, and start buying $8 beers or whatever the fuck it’s there. At the same time TNT and ESPN isn’t trying to fuck with their viewer count by showing a lackluster Hornets team with 5,000 people in the arena looking at their blackberry. At least with Miami fans start showing up by the 2nd quarter. In N.O no fans are showing up at halftime, but rather starts leaving.
We see the same ass team every week is because T.V executives aren’t trying to lose viewers by showing fucking N.O. People like you and me will watch the NBA regardless of who’s on, because we are the hardcore fan base. Joe Schmo who watches 5 basketball game a month doesn’t want to turn on the T.V and see CP3 try to turn Okafor into an all-star he wants to see Dwade, Kobe, LeBron, Dwight, and Melo.
How many times does it have to be said that N.O. only cares about the Saints, for Stern to get the fucking picture that the Hornets are better off in another city.
Give them to Seattle or Las Vegas or some shit and cut your losses. Forcing a team on a city that really don’t care about them is a bad business plan.
The attendance is crap and the fact that alot of people from N.O. still live in Houston and the surrounding areas don’t help with the attendance either.
