Official NBA IS BACK CKRAZY SEASON 3 FANTASY FUN LEAGUE CHAMPION NEVER FORGET!

its interesting to me to see them head to head like that.

i.e. kobe sucks

espn 3 does live and replays. espn 3 will be getting alot of love from me this week.

its interesting to note that kobe will be completely unable to raise any of his stats per game to compete with micheal’s, but kobe will probably end up playing longer, considering he came right out of high school and didn’t take a major detour during his career. but i don’t see why you’d argue it. kobe’s the best now, laker fans should be happy with that.

ps kobe sucks.

did kobe even win a category?

He tied in All-star MVP IIRC.

Which is totally meaningless…

Kobe does have the 81 point > MJ tough, but that is about it (Oh and NUTELLA).

Then again MJ has the most points scored in a playoff game… well sorry Kobe, MJ beat you once again.

if you’re keeping tyreke don’t you have to drop everyone else? i thought we get 1 keeper and everyone else goes into the draft pool. i know vs has explained it before but i just don’t get it. i can offer you better for curry btw

No you just SELECT your keeper and EVERYONE else drops AUTOMATICALLY the day of the draft.

And dammit I already accepted his trade offer.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

subt-L, thanks for the info. Good to hear that ESPN 3 does replays because I’ll be missing some games due to being at work (like tomorrow, for instance).

My name is Bryan Buckley and I support these two statements.

You are only allowed one keeper in the fun league. You can drop everyone manually if you like (some people have done that, myself included, just can’t drop Jason Kidd b/c he’s undroppable) or wait until the draft when they are automatically dropped. To select your keeper you need to go into your team’s page and hit the “Keepers” tab.

EDIT: Goddamnit, ckrazy beat me to it.

Anyone who wants Gasol, Lopez or Lee holla at me.

None of those guys are keeper worthy. :coffee:

Knuck : Of course I do. =)

Get ready for football tonight, I have troll mode on!

you guys make no sense. you (should) get to pick your keeper and everyone else should have been dropped the second the league finished last year to go into the draft pool for this upcoming draft. how the fuck do you pick a keeper and then trade away the rest of your team for picks?

for example, granger is my keeper and i’ve already dropped the rest of my team like i thought we were supposed to so i can’t trade anyone but granger and my picks. how is it fair that ck kept his team in tact, picks tyreke as his keeper, and then trades the rest of his team from last year for picks?!!? that makes ZERO sense.

God you’re slow. (No offense, I still <3 you no homo!)

Let me break this down to you cKrAzY style (In other words simple simple simple simplify version).

  • Everyone in the league has a keeper.
  • Some people don’t like anyone on their team enough to want to keep them.
  • For example Hoonyo!
  • Hoonyo doesn’t like anyone on his team to keep so he looks at players who are not kept from other teams.
  • He looks at my team and notices that I am keeping Tyreke Evans.
  • Since I am keeping Tyreke Evans, that means everyone else on my team will be available for the draft.
  • Instead of playing Russian Roulette and waiting for Steph Curry to drop to him, he decided that he will just give up a draft pick and trade for Steph Curry now.
  • Once Steph Curry is on his team, he then can proceed to make Steph Curry his keeper.

If I do not trade Steph Curry, then I get nothing for him and he goes back into the pool of draftees once draft times row around. So anything I get for Steph Curry is a bonus, because at the end of the day Tyreke is my keeper.

That’s basically what I did (trade a third round pick to VSlash) to get Melo.

Also, I will be bringing the hype at the draft tonight.

I understand Morph’s gripe, though. If a manager had two potential keepers on his team, chose one early and dropped everyone else (unnecessarily), someone could pick up that keeper from the pool and use it as a trading chip. It’s potentially abusive.

Also, I’m such a terrible GM for disclosing my trades lol.

That’s a good point, but most/probably all players that are keeper worthy are under “undroppable” status (i.e. in my case, I inheirited Jason Kidd and traded to get Melo, and they’re the only two people on my team right now).

Okay, so Hoonyo, you are trading for Steph to keep him right? I am not on the internet as often as I used to be (Don’t worry, I’ll fix it at the beginning of October) so I’m not hovering over the webz like I used to to fix things like this as quickly.

If this is what you want. I will approve of the trade.

And Morph, your team was poopy, who else but Granger on your team was actually worth keeping? There is arguably one person left with multiple “keepers” on his team and that is Mr Noodle. One of them is Bosh, who is going to be a third wheel now anyway.

Kim has those guys he is trying to deal, but he is just being a penis. No one wants to keep Lopez or Pau.

Steph is my keeper.

You guys watching the FIBA thing?

Its the start of the 4th on ESPN 2 right now if its not a tape delay.

You talking about the US game?

Because that already happened earlier in the day.

Pau Gasol is better than what half of you guys are planning to keep anyway. He’s definitely better than that pussy Bosh, how dare you ViciousSLASH.

if tyreke is your keeper then you’re SUPPOSED to get nothing for curry. the whole point of a keeper league is to balance the league out year after year. the elite teams have their keeper and then have to drop everyone else while the shitty teams get better because they have a higher draft pick and get first dibs on the best players that weren’t quite good enough to be keepers.

that way the league will balance itself out year after year. if the elite teams pick their keeper and then are trading their second, third, fourth best players (who are otherwise first round picks) for first and second round draft picks then it’s like their teams haven’t really been weakened at all and will continue to dominate.

for example, los angeles trophy whores still has lebron, pau gasol, david lee, and brook lopez on his team. in a 16 team league they are all first round worthy. so say he picks lebron as his keeper but the way the league is now, he can still trade pau, david lee and lopez away for picks.

now here are the teams with the first 3 picks of the draft.
17. Carpet Lint
18. Lothar
19. Geo

i think we can all agree that there’s no intelligent way that gasol or david lee would ever make it to the 17th pick.

hypothetically he trades gasol to carpet for the 17th pick, david lee to lothar for the 18th pick, and brook lopez to geo for the 19th pick. that means the next year he would have LEBRON as his keeper but now have **the first 3 picks of the first round!!! **(i don’t count drafting the keeprs as a round). how am i the only one who sees that as completely broken!!!

the way it should be is that he keeps lebron and then drops everyone else into the draft so that carpet lint, lothar, and geo can pick them if they want and los angeles trophy whores has to wait his turn till the 31st pick to get a second player. so if carpet lint picks gasol with his first pick (besides his keeper) he now has his keeper AND pau gasol so his team will now be better and more competitive next year and that’s the whole point right?? there’s a reason the team who picks first has to wait till the end of the 2nd round before they pick again, it’s to balance out the league. imagine if the person who picks first got to pick first for every round. it wouldn’t make sense which is what’s happening here.

who was hoonyo’s team?? so he doesn’t like anyone on his team enough to make them his keeper and he wants curry but doesn’t want to risk losing him in the draft here’s the proper solution:

  1. he picks the highest ranking player on his team or most tradeable asset as his keeper.
  2. he then tries to move up in the draft by trading his keeper and his draft picks to someone who has a higher pick than him. if he can’t he gets stuck with his highest ranked player as his keeper and has to try to trade for curry after the draft. sorry but that’s just the fairest way for it to be.

in summary:
you get one keeper, everyone else gets dropped.
crappier teams get higher draft priority for the upcoming draft
your only trade pieces are your single keeper and your new picks

i don’t mean to be a dick but that’s just how i see it. i love you all
