You know there are more than two possible head coaches in the entire world right?
Phil has spoiled us over the years. With that being said, it’s pretty clear that Mike Brown needs to win now. If the Pistons beat us Mike Brown may get run outta town, the fans have less tolerance when they are use to winning.
Getting Jodie Meeks and Jamison seemed like good moves at the time, but they aren’t being utilized well. Meeks needs to be played with Nash so he can get open looks, the defense doesn’t even respect what Steve Blake does. I think Jamison needs to start, as much as I like Metta he shouldn’t be shooting the ball unless he’s wide open (and by wide open I mean WIDE open). I think Jamison’s production could increase by getting good looks from opponents double teaming dwight and kobe.
Anyone that isn’t Sloan or Jackson is totally unacceptable to be the head coach of a heralded franchise, or too inept to use the Lakers star-studded lineup successfully.
As said already who else is out there? Besides Jerry Sloan?

Also this whole a coach has to be known to coach a superstar is complete bullshit. Phil Jackson was a complete unknown when he first started coaching in Chicago, so was Pat Riley, Chuck Daly, etc etc. That is some myth that has been perpetuated by the media in the last 5 years for some reason.

I was thinking the same thing yesterday about Jamison starting because teams have been doubling off of Metta the past four years. If Dwight was 100% it could mask some of the defensive flaws but right now with the team averaging 20+ it wouldn’t help anyway.
I was willing to give Brown a pass at first because it’ a new system, new players and all but the true problem with Brown has always been making coaching adjustments. It was his problem in Cleveland and it’s his problem now, and I’m starting to think that it’s not that he doesn’t know how to make coaching adjustments he just doesn’t want to.
So he is an arrogant and stubborn douche?
He is a yes man with no backbone who just lets players call their own shots.
I think this kind of proves the point. I guess Phil Jackson and Jerry Sloan are the only genius head coaches heralded enough to lead such a legendary franchise.
I don’t know, how did like the Bobcats, Magic, or Trailblazers do it this year? Or the Rockets, Golden State, Detroit, Minnesota, Raptors, Knicks, Kings, and Washington do it last year? I guess they just got lucky and random dudes popped up every single time. Or the year before when Atlanta, Clippers, Nets, Pacers, Hornets, Cavs, Sixers, Jazz, and Bulls got new head coaches?
Yeah there are no head coach candidates out there at all.
My bet’s actually on Eddie Jordan as the most likely replacement if it does happen. He’s running the offense already anyway.
