Official NBA 2012-2013 Thread - Bored Until October

Thank you. No I want to see how I do after the 1st week before I completely insane. I should have never drafted with so much alcohol in my system. I completely whiff on C, and SF to the point where I have like 4 PG and 4 PF. I must have done a body swap with Geo or something during the draft.

Or I must have thought I was still playing NELLIEBALL!

Warriors are the new old Kings.

Laugh now, but I called it months back and I’m calling it now. You’re about to witness great progress with them.

Sacramento Kings: The Kings on paper have a good team and if it was a pickup game, this is the lineup you would pick to play on.
However in the NBA that does not really work out and they will be the worst team in the Western Conference. They have no coaching,
no GM, no team chemistry, and a city that the ownership does not want to be in.

Sacramento is full of either shot first players who only care about their own stats, or people who just plain do not want to be there.

PG: Isiah Thomas looks to be an up and coming point guard. He needs to improve his shot but he seems to take good shots overall, is fast
and is a good ballhandler and passer. He could be the one bright spot for them and going forward they should concentrate on trying to build
around him and Boogy. Aaron Brooks is a good player and could start on alot of other teams at PG. He is however a shoot first second and third
and pass by accident PG, which is part of the problem with Sacramento as they have alot of shot first players. If Brooks plays well in limited
minutes he will be a nice trade piece later in the season. Neither Thomas or Brooks are terribly good defenders although Thomas can improve.

SG: Thorton is the prototype shot first SG. He is a volume shooter but he is a good 3 point shooter. The problem is he has a tendency to want
to dribble the ball up the floor and jack up 25 foot shots. He also does not get alot with Evans or Cousins. Both Salmons and Travis Outlaw
are guys who shot the ball the minute they touch it and do nothing else, and neither one of them do it well.

SF: Tyreke Evans is a guy who has all the talent and ability you need for a NBA star and just comes to work for a paycheck. He hates playing
for this team and has asked to be traded every year after his rookie year. He is a guy who is not quite a PG but not a SG but has an ability
to make plays. He really needs to play for another team. If he went to a contendor or at least a team that had some promise, I think he
would more closely resemble the 20/5/5 guy that he used to be. As it is he is just a guy who does not get along with his teamates, does not
care and really does not seem to even want to play basketball at the moment.

PF: Jason Thompson is just a hustle stats guy who will get you some boards and some points and shoot a good percentage. He is a guy who will
more then likely never be an All Star but can get you 10 points and 10 boards a game while shooting 50 pct. Past him all they really have is
Chuck Hayes who is a good low post defender and a guy who will see alot of minutes subbing for Thompson and Cousins. Thomas Robinson might be
able to steal some of those minutes as he appears to be the same kind of player Thompson is.

C: What can you say about Demarcus Cousins, he has all the ability to be the best Center in the league and is a complete headcase. If Sacramento
could get a coach that would command his respect, he might be able to actually reach his full potential. As it is right now he is still one of the
best big men in the league but a bit of a ticking time bomb. I believe he would listen to some good coaching though.

Guys like Jimmer and Garcia will barely see any playing time unless there are injuries. Sacramento has a roster full of talented players who
can not play together. They need to relocate to wherever they are going, hire a real Coach and GM. Trade Tyreke Evans and Brooks for some
future draft picks and or some glue guys. They are desperately in need of a locker room leader. If Sacramento can find a way to build around Cousins
and Thomas, they could be a dangerous team in acouple of years.

lol what is this? ESPNJae?

The Kings are a crazy team because Tyreke has kool aid lips.

Fine I will quit then, I just enjoyed going over the teams and what I think of them. If no one is interested that is cool.

No No don’t quit. You’re just as looney as ESPN. Keep it going crazy white boy!

Hahaha, no one isn’t interested. I just said dem Kings BE CRAZY. Cousins is the best center because of his freakish body which doesn’t get injured like Bynum and his insane quickness. A guy that big shouldn’t be able to move that fast. Plus he is only like 22 or something stupid, he’ll be super good this year. I like how he posted that picture of him dunking on Dwight.

Cousins going to pull a cousins and eat someone face eventually. And when I say someone I mean a teammate of his.

Cousins has amazing footwork especially for a big man. It reminds me of that Center Portland used to have that came from across the pond. By the time he got here he was broken down and still had better footwork then most of the players in the NBA. I forgot his name though. I was going to do Golden State next.

Yeah he is, that has always been his problem. Also I was thinking of Zibonas(sp) that guy was amazing in his prime.

The name you’re looking for is Arvydas Sabonis.

I expect great things from Cousins this season stat-wise, 20-14 is totally reachable when he’s already averaging 18-10 in less than 30 minutes a game.

All he needs to do is to finish his shot attempts better from under the rim and get his FG% up and I will dominate Fun League in no time.

Sabonis. As in Arvydas Sabonis.

This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:

Supposedly his “prime” was in Europe/russia. So unless you actually saw him play there, I’m gonna throw the BS flag on somebody who isn’t a scout saying he was “amazing in his prime”.

Deron thinks Felton is better than Lin.

But if you read between the lines, Lin had his breakout game against Deron and the Nets and made him look silly. It was the first game of the winning streak. Deron still salty.

He was, I saw a few of the games he had from back in the day. They used to be up on youtube, not sure if they still are.

Dude didn’t come to the NBA till he was like 30. Even then he was still doing pretty decent from what I remember. Obviously the 90’s had a lot of tough center he had to go against too. If it was today you guys know you be drooling for him in fantasy.

Valanciunas is hailed as the next Sabonis as they’re both Lithuanian bigs.

Suffice to say I already have him on my fantasy teams and he will average 20-10-4 in the coming years as my keeper.

He still did well, his knees were just shot by then. He was an amazing passer as well.

He was super fat and his feet were all broken and he still played pretty well against prime shaq. WHITE PEOPLEEE!!!

Someone trade me DUDES. TRADEZZ.

If by “pretty well vs Shaq”, you mean “He flopped as well as could be expected” then I’ll take back the BS flag.

I only draft big black dudes. I like my white people like my bar-b-q… on the wings.

This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:

Vlade = Sabonis.

Yeah gotta admit that Sabonis was pretty good even though he was an old dude by the time he came into the NBA. That said, Shaq man handled him.
