On a sidenote, the Sixers should probably amnesty Brand and tank the season away instead of running off a 7 game winning streak at the end of the year to take themselves out of lottery contention.

I’m still marinating on how I think the chips will fall. My dark horse is actually LA. They’ve got several directions to go, healthy Kobe…but agining roster, whil.e the rest of the West is getting younger and better. New management and coaching with some interesting trade pieces out there to inject fresh legs into them (hate hte Dwight talk as much as you want, there are aspects of it that make ALOT of sense…for all parties).
Thunder are REAL, but I think they are still a full season away from being title contenders - so not this year or next.
Mavs are going ot be forgotten, but are IMO baring how FA goes one of my top three picks.
Bulls have been anbd wil lbe overrated, this includes D-Rose. No shots fired, do you, but I’m still not sold on’em. The east is just too week.
New York was poorly built, I stil ldon’t understand Melo & Stoudemire together. Chauncey will make them look better than they are. Unless they can land a top tier PG to mesh them together - one that doesn’t NEED to score (I hate saying it but Nash is one of my top choices for NY for a couple years).
I’m curious how the D-town will get broken up and who will win the Richard Hamilton sweepstakes.

So if the CBA schedule ends in like February, and the NBA season has been extended until the end of April…it’s conceivable that everyone that signed in China will still be able to sign with an NBA team once they’re done over there and still be playoff eligible. CBA season’s only 32 games each. Plus the playoffs…but I don’t know how long that runs.
(Now that there is millions of dollars as incentive for JR Smith to miss the CBA playoffs, the situation gets exponentially more and more hilarious.)
That is a pretty crazy scenario to imagine - come beginning of March, if JR Smith decides to bring his talents to South Beach or whatever, that could shake things up.
