See I understand the point that if you beat someone down (even if they’re new) that they’ll come back for some more. But Fasiel needs to take a chill pill (no offense fasiel) not act like it’s the tournament at boomers… IT’S CASUALS… show the newbies how to play the game… don’t make them lose hope. I remember one time Fasiel went to MJC and beat like everybody down without saying a word and everyone stopped playing him cause he had like 60 something wins on everybody. (this was back in '04.) T is right… that’s why we’re not producing any players. Instead of thinking about yourself, try tutoring new players how to play the game and then think about OCV’ing them occasionally.
Okay calms down CVS2 on wednesday?! Who’s down? 
Edit: Erm… I might invite people over tomorrow for some halo 3 or cvs2. I’m moving out of my apartment in 2 weeks so who’s down?! =]

This is true, we need to build up the new players…:karate: I’m rusty myself at Cvs2 (been playin other games). But if someone is willing to teach me A groove… I’m down.
Guys, Fasil and pat represent CvS2 at high level play. The play A groove with top tier (Sak, Bison, Blanka, Vega), and that’s what awaits you if you want to play at the highest level. It’s not unbeatable, I give them a run for their money every once in a while, but it’s an uphill battle. I love playing CvS2 casually, and the character roster makes the game fun if you play with others that enjoy the vastness of the game. For those guys there is no purpose to casual play though you see, they are in to win. If you want to play in tournies that’s what you do.
Having said that, I think we’re too wrapped up in CvS2 here in Modesto. Might be time to broaden the horizons a bit. I think this town needs some Super Turbo and 3rd strike like nobody’s business, maybe even some alpha? Problem is there are no machines here, no public venues to play. I hate the central valley sometimes.
Anyways, I met some of you guys last week or whatever at boomers. I was the guy playing K ryu/eagle/yamazaki. Name’s Clay by the way.
Sooo…its offical now, i dusted off my cvs2 cd and started playing agin, its SERIOUS SON, im still addicted to marvel though and ima start playing GGAC in a serious fashion

yo Derrick whats up man. thanks for playing cvs2/marvel with me when GGXX was turned off. WE had some good matches and of course thanks for bringing the games plus memory card so we could pick all the characters in Marvel. Can’t wait to see how much you have improved at my tourney on the 9th. ttyl
