MAGMA or Mountain Animation, Gaming, and Media Alliance is an annual convention held in Pigeon Forge, TN. Our primary focus is gaming and multi-media, but we will have something for everyone. We will have gaming tournaments, exhibitors, artists, and industry guests as well as plenty of other interactive entertainment. Come be a part of our first year in 2015.

Smoky Mountain Convention Center is conveniently located adjacent to our host hotel The Ramada South. This beautiful venue has plenty of room and ample parking for MAGMA’s attendees. Concessions will be available on site as well as numerous restaurants located within walking distance of the facility.

So you think you’ve got what it takes to take on the best? Here’s how you register for the tournaments.

Tournament registration will be held on-site at the venue on June 13th, from 9:00am to 1:00pm (4 hours). Whether you’ve pre-registered online or paid at the door, come inside and look for the registration tables. There, you’ll pay for each game you are competing and sign in for each game tournament you want to play in. Sign in procedure will be a form where you write your First and Last name, Gamertag (optional), clan/region, and phone number. We’ll mark each player with a wristband identifying which games they’ve signed up for.

Once the registration period ends at 1:00pm, we’ll begin assembling the brackets and seeding where necessary. We’ll have an area where you will be able to view the pools, including what time period you’ll be playing.

Be sure and read the tournament rules! They outline important information that you’ll need to know in order to compete, such as bringing your own controller! We’ll update this page as more registration details are added.

Updated some info on the website. Will hopefully have some more stuff in store to post soon.

UPDATE

Posting a rough schedule for the event from my side of things (All the fighting games. Smash is ran by other people who run party games xP). This schedule is a very rough draft and i’m almost 99% sure that it will change when we get closer to the event. I am going to try to keep it as close to this as possible, But the smash players “have” to get finals stage time on sunday,etc. Also depending on how many players we get we will have to adjust the time allotted for each game accordingly (obviously).

-Rough Schedule-

{Day 1}

9am-11am = Tournament Registration

12pm-2pm = GG:XRD Pools

3pm-6pm = MKX Pools

7pm-10pm = USF4 Pools

{Day 2}

10am-11am = GG:XRD Finals

12pm-2pm = MKX Finals

3pm-6pm = USF4 Finals

So far this is our rough estimate of how the schedule will be. Once i get more confirms and can start fleshing out the numbers for each game i will start adjusting the games, So that everything has the appropriate amount of time. Any input or questions you guys know how to get ahold of me.
